Very sorry about your cat GG. Losing an animal or any loved one is awful.

On the subject of Bayou Billy, I would like to take just a moment and wish Konami a holly jolly fuck you. Not too long ago I learned that the Japanese version of the game, Mad City, was actually a much easier than what we got in the west. Konami apparently jacked up the difficulty in response to the burgeoning rental market, or so the story goes. Whatever the real reason is, it is definitely true if you've ever compared the two.

I can't tell you how many hours I put into that game, never even making it to the final level. I suppose I did learn some creative swearing from it though. So maybe that's the silver lining.

I've never played Bayou Billy but I'm super nostalgic for it solely based on the ads Konami put in all of the gaming magazines and box art at the time.

Nothing beats the Konami box art.

Konami was super smart with their branding. When you saw that silver box, you pretty much knew you were going to get an amazing game. They really didn't have too many misses back then. As much shit as I give Bayou Billy, the game was a lot of fun. At least right up to the point where it wasn't.

Yeah the difficulty in Bayou Billy was insane. I did finish it but it was a good thing that those NES controllers were as durable as they were. It did have some funky music and the video ad was hilarious. LOL

My condolences. I've had two cats pass very suddenly on me. It really takes something outta you <3

Thanks guys.

I'm starting to believe vets are rip off merchants. I've had 3 cats die of cancer and not once did they discover it in time to do anything about it. I've seen Korean animal videos where they get blood tests and imaging scans as part of a yearly check up. Here they weigh your pet, look at its teeth and give it a injection.

Even though my second cat had its mouth checked multiple times they didn't spot the cancerous tumour on her tongue.

With Sheba who died on Saturday we took her to an emergency hospital that is part of our vet franchise. They spent 7 mins telling us about what tests may have to be done, then it was like sitting with a double glazing salesman as they explained and coerced us out a £1000 deposit that had to be paid before they'd even look into anything.

I wish they'd just fuck off. I've had pets since I was 14 years old, so why does the same treatment or scan cost like 6x as much as it used to?

This weekend I had plans to finish Kirby and the Forgotten Land and get through a big chunk of Super Mario Wonder. Instead all I played was Civ 6. I regret nothing.

This weekend was mostly Resident Evil 4 Remake Separate Ways. Played a bit of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario RPG Remake, and Remnant II.
