Have you guys seen these Chinese portable game machines that come with 1000s of emulated games already on a card. They are on Amazon and all over, they look like GBAs or PSPs most of the time. Some are high quality, some are crap but made for kids. I am getting one for my nephew turning 6, he showed interest in playing old games on my DS so this will give him a bunch of classics to play. My sister is not interested in him getting anything to expensive and elaborate right now.
I had one of those that came out about a decade ago called The Dingoo. I had a lot of fun with it, but mainly it went to my son who would use it in lieu of a smartphone. Once we learn to download videos and put them on the handheld, it was the greatest thing in the world for car trips.
Anyway, good call and getting one for the kid. Hell, I would probably consider getting one again for myself if I thought I'd have the time to actually play it.
I finished Horizon! Full review later, it's too much of the same for me to score it higher than the first but in reality it is the better game, one of those situations.
Going to do Outer Wilds DLC next, love the base game.

I'd give him a Switch. The emulator that may be overwhelming (in terms fo the amount of content). I had not heard of them [pauses goes on amazon].
Holy crap this is interesting. I'll have to look into it on YouTube.
I'm trying to play Red Dead redemption 2, but this hunting segment in the beginning is already grinding me to a halt. This is the most boring thing I can imagine.
I have to wonder is it cheaper to just make 5 to 10 hours of introductory missions than it is to just print a freaking manual?

I don't remember it being that bad. I do remember jumping right into the action during RDR1.
Yeah, it’s kind of annoying having to go through in game tutorials sometimes. Would rather just have an instruction manual. That also reminds me, I really need to get back to Red Dead Redemption 2 someday. Played for a bit and then got sidetracked and just never got back to it again.

Still not in Australia.
Racism.

The SNES track makes me wish Nintendo would remake entire Super Mario Kart game.
