Shin Megami Tensei V getting great reviews as well. Currently an 86 on Metacritic with 48 reviews. I have the game pre-ordered myself and am looking forward to getting it. Don’t have a whole lot of experience with the series myself, have SMTIV for the 3DS and played some of that but did enjoy it.

I want to say that I'm going to get this the day it releases, but I'm not. I've yet to even buy a game that released in 2021 this year. I still have resident evil 8, Monster Hunter rise, and TWEWY: Neo to check out as well. And at the moment, I'm not putting darkest dungeon down anytime soon.

Oh well, when I finally get to these games somewhere around 2023 I'm sure I will enjoy them.

Yeah you definitely have some good stuff to look forward to with those games. I really enjoyed RE8 and absolutely loved MHR. The expansion dlc for MHR comes out next year as well so you can probably get the base game + expansion as a package deal.

That Elden Ring gameplay reveal looked pretty awesome. There’s crafting and open world exploration. Looks like there’ll be more build variety/flexibility then from previous Souls games. Magic looks very cool and flashy. Bosses looked very cool and imposing. Definitely hyped for this game myself.

I am so excited, magic seems to have been given a full overhaul, looks so dynamic! And that world! This is going to be extremely special.

Metroid Dread review is up, fantastic game. Guardians continues to be great fun, the gameplay is standard stuff but the writing and story is top notch.

Yeah it looks like it’ll be a lot of fun to play through. Also really looking forward to the story and lore aspect of this game.

What a great day.

My back windscreen was smashed. I've lost 3 days of work and I've got to pay a customer compensation because she couldn't get to her appointment with another company.

Spent all day clearing glass from the back of the car getting tiny shards of glass stuck in my fingertips. And having to deal with an angry relative on the phone.

If that’s a great day for you then I’d hate to see what a bad day is like. Nyaa

In all seriousness though that sucks man. Hope tomorrow is much better for you.

Standing next to the car cleaning it. A car drives by, I hear a loud cracking sound. Walk to the back and see the back window shattered and falling to pieces. Find a 1cm piece of rock on my back wiper.

Presumably kicked up by this car.

If that were to happen here in Canada that driver would have immediately stopped said sorry and then offer any kind of assistance possible. People would have come out of their igloos to see what all the commotion was about. An impromptu game of road hockey would have then broken out. After we would all enjoy some pancakes with maple syrup.

all that was missing here was a Tim Horton's reference. Unless you guys don't like Tim Hortons anymore. I've heard that it's not as good as it used to be.

Damnit! I knew I forgot something. The quality may not be the same but that’s irrelevant as it will never not be a daily ritual. LOL

That's pretty much what happened with down here with Dunkin'Donuts or rather just "Dunkin" as they are now called. Their donuts used to be fantastic, but a few years back they decided that donuts with just arrived refrigerated instead of cooked in stores. Now they just focus on coffee, which to their credit is decent, but it definitely came at a price.

I should move to Canada.

So I'm still playing Darkest Dungeon this week, but I started over and deactivated the Crimson Court DLC. That is some pretty nasty new content. I can't imagine how difficult it was before they dialed it down with a patch. God knows the game was difficult enough in the first place, but this really was targeted specifically to masochists.

I’ve been playing Marvel’s Avengers this weekend, thank you Game Pass, and I’m enjoying it ok enough so far. Have only been playing the single player campaign so far. Guardians of the Galaxy definitely seems to be the better game between the two though.
