With my Switch being confiscated by my wife to play AC, I have turned to my other consoles for entertainment. I thought this predicament to offer an opportunity to return to some games I played long ago and since some time felt a longing to play again.

I was flabbergasted however to find those games, PN03 and Ikaruga, missing from my GC collection. It was then that I remembered I had lent out my GC along with some games to a close friend many years ago. Thinking back, he probably only returned the 'cube itself, and not the fine selection of games I hade introduced him to.

Which led me to boot up Wargroove on the Xbone once more, for some good not advance wars. Being an MS product, the Xbone refused to load the game, even after restarting the whole system.

On to plan D: finally starting Hellblade on the Xbone. I played about an hour I'm guessing and so far the game is less unsettling then I imagined. The game, and certainly Sensua herself looks gorgeous, although there is a clear divide between character detail and the quality of the animation. This is not a game I can play in long stretches, so I'll probably enjoy it in hour long sessions over the coming week.

I hate finding out I have games missing. It's only happened 2 or 3 times, but when you want that game to be there and it isn't that sucks.

What also sucks is knoiwing the name of the protagonist in PN03 - Vanessa Schneider.  What a waste of memory.

For me this is a very rare occurance.  I think I've only ever once lent out anything from my game collection.  And now it has come back to bite me, because I won't be seeing these games back untill after this whole corona business.

Do we have a thing were on Sunday we post what we are playing anymore?

Or does everyone just assume everyone is playing AC?

I finished What remains of Edith Fitch this week.

Am getting closer to beating Pokemon Sword/Shield, just 2 or 3 more gym masters.

Started playing Last Day of June tonight after work (yes some of us still work).

I've had no problems.  Well, not in reaching this site at least.

That's why you should play it on Switch.   You can just leave it in sleep mode and pick up where you left off.  yes

Edit: also, does the game sport a painterly, nearly impressionistic graphical quality on PC too?  I wasn't sure if this was a design choice, or just 'Switch blur'.

Maybe they've routed us to our version of the vg press.  Were we really that bad?

Or maybe they are all victims of the AC-20 virus.

That could be the issue.  Some time go I had problems reaching the site, turned out it was because Yoda had done some updates and 'www.thevgpress.com' couldn't get through anymore.  So he fixed it.  Maybe because of that it is now the only route that works?

But you're right, we're probably just dead.  I thought the afterlife would differ more from life.  Only mayor difference is this corona stuff it seems...

Well, I certainly didn't think I'd be spending eternity with you. But I guess we should get to know each other a bit better... in time.

I played another hour of LDoJ this afternoon. Got back to where I was before.

To answer your question the impressionist graphics are on the PC also, with plenty of bloom, so that's not a Switch thing.

I'm reluctant to give impressions until I finish the game.

My family is requiring me to stop gaming for the day so I'll pick up again tomorrow.

Anyway, nice to be here in Hell with you. honestly it's much nicer than I thought. Far less Animal Crossing talk than I expected.

Perhaps you are the only deceased one here, and I'm just your personal hell?   devil  Just take some time to consider the possibility.

That is the portal to hell, so as long as anyone isn't accessing the site via that, it's fair to say they are not dead.
