As for me I’ve been playing Cuphead. The game is tough as nails but I’m having a great time with it. Love the artstyle and getting a kick out of the soundtrack. I like that the bosses mix up there attack modes from time to time so you can see some different forms each time and it’s not the same attack patterns all the time.
Also played a few games on the SNES Classic mini. Good trip down nostalgia lane right here.
I was reading an article on it where it said "the shooter was shot dead by the police. His motives are still unnown'. That always strikes me as odd. It implies that they expect to still find out what his motives were, but on the other hand it's now impossible to interogate him to find out.
My oldest had his B-day party over the weekend. He ended up getting Mario+Rabbids. He tried it out yesterday evening for about half an hour, with me on translation duty. It didn't really grip me. The graphics are accomplished, but there's a certain plasticy sheen to everything that's jarring to the eye. The rabbids themselves also seem to be very 'flat' in their texture work, where they'll sometimes appear more 2D than 3D.
Anyhow he also got an awesome LEGO set we kindly tipped the parents in law:
Turns out our Ipad is too old to run the app. This has the potential to become a very expensive gift. I've argued we should just get a cheap android tablet, but Steve Job's has his claws latched deep into the wife's soul and she insists we should just get a new Ipad instead.
So I was reading this earlier (and the comments and the GAF thread). It seems the Switch version is either sold out or unavailable at most retailers. It looks like EA has lowballed the Switch physical shipment numbers in terms of supply. Basically it's kinda like they sent it out to die? And I'm guessing later they will cite low Fifa sales as a reason not to support the platform.
That's some fucked up shit in Vegas. It seems like every time there's some crackpot ready to go nuts, he has to outdo the last guy. Because each of these mass shootings just seem to get worse and worse.
I set up the Switch, fairly painless other than the usual modern console annoyances. The Pro controller is sweet. Maybe a slight bit behind the Xbox and Playstation pads, but by far the best one Nintendo has made. Nice sticks and nice big buttons.
I think I fucked up my Nintendo ID though. I didn't realize you could transfer your Wii U id to Switch, so I had Nintendo delete my account when I erased everything from Wii U. But then when I set Switch up, they tell me I still have an id attatched to my email...so they let me sign in with the account I told them to delete. I hope this isn't going to be a problem. I did lose like $8 in funds I had on the Wii U eshop though.

Any of you Switch only people, you'd have to be foolish not to grab StarDew Valley on the 5th. Great game.
