I read the part about the Tegra SOC, and all it says is that it would make sense for Nintendo to use of custom chip based off the X2 series, or the upcoming 'Xavier' series. it's pure speculation based on a bad translation. The article also says that assuming it'd be a Xavier chip is moot, as those require active cooling.
The guy who got his Switch early has had it taken back by Nintendo and has seemingly lost the money he spent on it too. Turns out some switches had mysteriously disappeared in the supply chain. It turned out to be stolen. http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=1345365
He is from Belgium.
My grandfather was from Brussels and when he came to America he could speak: Dutch, Flemish, German, French, and English.
My mom told him that he should have taught them the other languages. He answered that when he moved to America it was in the 1930s - 1940s and when you move to America you speak English.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Yeah, pretty much what Ninty said. I speak Flemish (so basically also Dutch, they're like British and American English), English, some French and a tiny bit of German. But I read French fine, and I'll be able to understand the gist of a text in German.
So yeah, I think it was mistranslated. They specualted on stronger chips possibly being inside Switch. I think the part about it 'being the size of a Pascal chip' should have been translated more in the lines of '... Pascal X2 chips will be about as strong as a 1050 ...'
Also, Ninty, pretty cool your grandfather was from Brussels.
As far as I could tell, they didn't open it at all. It was just an article summing up everything we know about the Switch so far. I don't even think they have one themselves. Eurogamer has one, but they're a dedicated gaming site. Computerbild is a general technology site, I doubt they would receive a Switch for reviewing purposes.
One of the site's forefathers.
Well, I'm not great at understanding German, so I could be mistaken, but I don't see it. Perhaps you could link me to the thread on Gaf or the picture of the opened Switch?
I'd care if Capcom made some exclusives for it. If they're just porting games I'd rather get elsewhere then it doesn't mean much to me. Maybe they'll bring Deep Down back for the Switch.
That German site is full of malarky. Those specs would make the Switch more powerful than the PS4.
NX 02? As in an X2 tegra?
