The death of mid-tier retail

Mummy Found Wearing Adidas Boots Is ‘Proof Of Time Travel’

Internet users have decided that time travel is real after a 1,500-year-old mummy was pictured wearing what appear to be Adidas boots. The fashion-forward mummy was found 10,000 feet up in Mongolia’s Altai mountains

Isn't the chart showing revenue by software title?  So COD supremacy, not Gamestop supremacy.

Should have added "titles" to the end of that.

I played a large portion of Bioshock 1 on PC last night while taking a break from Dark Souls, and it made me realize; damn, this game is 9 years old and still looks awesome because of the unique look.

In fact the entire game is just so unlike 99% of the FPS games of the past 10 years that it still feels just as good to play now as it did in 2007. Imo this is easily one of the best FPS or games in general in that timeframe. Brought back so many memories playing it again for the first time in ages.

Honestly, If I were you, I'd cancel for now. If they can't keep up with a demand they knew was coming (via pre-orders) what's likely to happen is an increase in physical manufacturing at the expense of quality control. It's the one thing they always cut out when demand is too high.

What I'm saying is you're not going to get the quality of product the first few people who have gotten one have.

You should seriously wait for the initial overly positive reactions to settle, see which VR set is actually the best and decide then...

Don't waste your time and money just to be the first on the block and ultimately have to deal with regret.

You are saying they are purposefully going to use crappy parts that is different than what they are using. Can't happen, that would be grounds for a massive lawsuit and I would get rich.

Not what I'm saying at all. They're not going to take the time to maintain quality control and check their work. They're just going to increase production and hope for the best something doesn't go wrong with the manufacturing. Something's got to give to shave off time in getting units out the door and it's going to cause issues.

Kind of like with the 360 and the ps2 and all kinds of other electronics.

I totally agree.  I love the aesthetic of Bioshock.

Well they clearly aren't shaving any time. Nyaa they are just taking their sweet ass time making these by hand one by one. It's probably one old blacksmith making all these.

+1

I love how NeoGaf keep trying to spin how 12% of retail titles have generated 75% of retail revenue thing into a positive. This console market is fucked.

I cannot fucking wait until I am done with Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. Fuck this game...its just too frustrating. Maybe I'm just not into these types of old school die die die platformers anymore, but I find this game 10 times more frustrating than something like Dark Souls. In DS when you die and have to trek through an area again, it doesn't feel like a chore. Tropical Freeze does....and I nearly snapped my Pro Pad in half more than once. This last world is just frustration to the max.

Fuck you, Retro Studios.

Playing through Dark Souls III. It's really good and they nailed the bosses and all, however I'm just not feeling this game as much as the previous ones.

Probably because it is the third Dark Souls game I've played in a year time span.

Yeah they've really milked this franchise. Its time to stop for awhile. I mean Demon's Souls and Bloodborne are basically part of the series as well, so that's five games since 2009? Too much.
