Yes I'm sure PS4 is already capable, not that it matters good 4K material is far and few between. Maybe Vader was reading some old article ? It happens a lot where some old piece gets put as new by accident. We all know how angry gamers get ewhen they are forced to upgrade a half measure in the same generation,It just does not make sense that Sony would do this now, with such great lead at this point. It just has to be a mistake or not true.
The current console can do 4K if the developers lower the graphic detail enough.

Fun fact, my Sony cell phone (Xperia Z3) shoots video in 4K.... I just don't have a 4K resolution screen to watch any of it on.
Since I've had my PC for about 3 or 4 years now I figured I'd look and see what kind of upgrade I could do to my GPU. Bearing in mind my current GPU is a GTX 680 4gb. its already more capable than the consoles. But some of the newer games I can't quite max out anymore without frame problems. So looking into it, the only meaningful upgrade would be to at least go with a GTX 980 4gb...and honestly it wouldn't be worth the $. Its a jump up, but not big enough to justify the cash. So that's actually good...I don't have to think about upgrading until at least next year after Nvidia launches their new GPU architecture.
