I second this. My heart goes out to you guys Supreme.
^Yup. Solemn day.
Another blazing row with my father over my brothers douchebaggery.
Looks like I won't be seeing my father anymore. I'm tired of arguing with dickheads.
Someone obviously forgot to dust it.
Gold and a few Platinums for button mashing proves I AM AWESOME
If I skip the cutscenes it detaches me even further from what is going on.
I haven't tested it yet, but I would imagine that if you opt to join a friend it wouldn't then split you up after the round ends. That would be really stupid. As for what team you are on, I think it probably flips you every round but I haven't tested it.
GG sometimes it may work out best to cut yourself off at least temporarily. When all you get out of contact with family is aggro, sometimes it's not worth it. It's not the ideal situation but it may be the lesser of two evils and it may help them see sense (though it seems unlikely by the sound of it)

He's like talking to a wall, completely doesn't respect how I feel about anything. I cannot believe that after our blazing row two weeks ago he's gone and done the same thing. Feels awful when one of the people you love most in the world thinks it's okay to make you miserable to keep your brother and his wife happy.

10-year-old girl explains the Nintendo bias
A 10 year old.
She goes on to give Splatoon impressions.
Same. My heart goes out to your family.
Carnage in responce to this states:
Given the fact Minecraft and to a lesser extent, Skylanders and Disney Infinity are extremely popular among kids (far more so than Mario) I see that claim as baseless and bizarre. Its probably something she picked up from Nintendo fansites
Yes he trolls 10 year old girls now.
Ughhhhhh.
She says "Because it's Nintendo, and they think Nintendo is for kids" YOU ARE FUCKING KIDS! I want to shout at her school pals. She's talking about her other 10 year old schoolkids. What's wrong with having fun these days? I find this very sad that at 10 years old people think Nintendo is for kids? What for 5 year olds then?

LOL
When you're a kid, you want to grow up as fast as possible because you want to be "cool". I was the same way, as I'm sure most of us here were.
I never cared for the Nintendo kiddie shit though, because to me it just never made sense. Sure, they could definitely use more 1st party adult oriented content, but other than that they're no different than anyone else. Even back in the SEGA days, that was the argument, that SEGA was more mature. I always looked at it like, yeah, they're games are more edgy than Nintendo's, but that doesn't stop Super Mario and Zelda from being just as awesome as anything SEGA does.
And now, all these years later...the players have changed but its still that same philosophy applied.

This. The need to be "cool" is huge and playing a cute squid game is not going to help that image. Minecraft became ok cause it is socialy acceptable and normal, hell even cool to play it. But Splatoon and some of the other Nintendo stuff, nope. I think younger kids love nintendo but once they start to hit that teenage area they start worrying about popularity status.
I was never in a rush to grow up and that still rings true today. I want to enjoy the things I do because I love them, regardless of how people may feel about it. Like re-capturing all those memories of Saturday morning cartoons I used to watch. I don't feel anyone should have to apologise for the things that bring them happiness, which is completely at odds with judgemental sackcraps like my brother.
I never had the whole Nintendo is kiddy argument growing up, perhaps because the NES was never huge here like it was in America. We all had SNES or Genesis and played either - or both, with no complaints really. It's really only through the media and particularly through forums that I see this weird bias existing.

I think we should be here on the forum and be happy that any game brings us excitement and joy. No need to bash one company because you do t care for their games. Now, dislike their business practices, boycott their games if you must, but why hate on someone's passion for a specific game.
This. I was also unaware of "teh Kiddie" argument until I started using the internet and discovered gamespot.
BTW that was the funniest alpha-omega episode out of all the ones I watched.
