I had the Wii U on near constantly this weekend, flicking between Netflix watching Blue Exorcist, FMA: B and Attack on Titan - going on Miiverse and the internet Browser and playing Smash and Guacamalee.
Offscreen play, I don't know how I'd live without it these days. I wish Nintendo would amp it up and release a version that could stream from any video source and have an HD screen. Also Amazon Instant is laughable compared to the Netflix app.
I've used my Wii U a lot this weekend as well. I've been playing a bit of Punchout and Hyrule Warriors. Ganon just appeared.

Wish I could watch freeview TV or Sky Tv through it, and run my DVDs/Blurays through it.
Since I was travelling recentely, Emirates have really improved their in flight entertainment, large tablet style touchscreens and tons of content. Sure it was a bit slow compared to a decent tablet but the concept was great. And I realised, this is about the only way you can have hundreds of people in the same place all viewing what they want to. Offscreen play is like having inflight entertainment built into your living room. I hope the concept doesn't die.
I forgot how tough the championship rounds of Punchout were. I finished the regular rounds last night and then took on Glass Joe and proceeded to have my ass kicked twice in a row before I could beat him. And even when I did beat him, it wasn't pretty.
So guys who own Smash and DKC Tropical Freeze, are the graphics in TP as good as the large DK level in Smash? Because to me that looked gorgeous. It was so clear and crisp and well lit and the art is so good.
As for the other levels in Smash, really you can tell they ripped models and enviroments from old games, some of the Skyward Sword stuff looks laughable. The DKC retro SNES level is a little weird, pixelated trees and barrels etc.
They have a Yoshis Wooly World level? I mean SERIOUSLY? They included a stage for a game that wasn't even out for another 7 months. That's crazy to me, in a good way. I wonder if they will do DLC with a Splatoon level etc?
I doubt we'll see this one happen. They have to start saving something for the next generation. It's not like Nintendo is going to make a dozen new IP's and will have tons to choose from. As it is, I think there's enough people clamoring for the old characters that were left out that they'll focus on those before anything else.

I'm thinking that they might do something like the MK8 DLC.
