Rogue Legacy was originally supposed to be a MetroidVania style Game
Interview with developer. Also helped design Guacamelee!
__________________________________________________________
Key word being supposed to be. Now someone please explain what a real MetroidVania is to the dipshit at Playstation Universe! Other cool points in the interview talk about a planned Shovel Knight crossover, How the dev feels about poorly designed games, Boss Battles and what he would do with the Zelda series!
LOL!
There's probably not a bigger Nintendo fan in the entire world than me... **Slight exaggeration**
...BUT I am getting sooooo sick and tired of the Nintendo Apologist Brigade that overlooks, forgives, explains away and argues each and every one of their very, very, very, VERY apparent faults. Prime example: Here's a video of a bunch of schmucks at IGN explaining how calling it the Wii U wasn't a problem... Especially, --ESPECIALLY-- after someone who worked FOR Nintendo said that it WAS!!
Suuure... Market a product that sounds just like, looks just like and has almost the same exact library of games as your LAST product... and then have your faithfully devoted defend that, THAT doesn't cause problems for the casual consumer... BRILLIANT!
No. Well, yes. Kinda. I'm trying to get outlook on my Sufrace and my Desktop synced, and figured that unless I wanted to open up my whole network to a constant barage of spam and viruses, what I tried was my best option. My outlook on my Surface suffers from the same problems though, as I tried to do the same stuff on it. I think that something just slowed my nas down too much for Outlook to handle.
I figured out that if I just deleted all accounts in my outlook and reconfigured them, things seem to work. Anyhow, it's not that the hardware itself is broken to a point where I can't fix it, it's just me meddling with settings I have little comprehension of.
I don't get it, I have a few email accounts and once they're registered it works like butter.
Since my online mailbox is very limited in capacity, as it's connected to my website (as opposed to something like google), and I'm too much of a scrooge to pay a reasonable amount for more webspace, I have set Outlook to download all my mails from my server. Meaning that they're stored locally. This then implies that if I have multiple devices, they don't sync, as they're both storing the mails (and those I send) locally. Which is a pain in the ass.
I could do 2 things: I could use my NAS as a mail server, giving me near infinite room to store my mails, but this also means that all the spam I get on a daily basis travels through my firewall, right to the heart of my network. Or I could try to find a way for that local Outlook file to be stored on the NAS, and have Outlook access it from there. I'm currently trying to get option 2 working.
Which is all fine and dandy, unless some firmware update for the NAS slows things down to a crawl, thus rendering every program that needs to fetch data from it useless. I'm pretty proud of what I've achieved so far regardless of whether I get it to work or not, as prior to owning a NAS I had zero knowledge of what goes on inside my computer and networks.
Some people have waaay too much time on their hands.
Played two games this weekend:

**Gives quite the different perspective on war than the average Call of Duty game! MUST PLAY!**
**I secretly LOVE IT when one of my characters traits is that he is Gay. Just for the description alone! It says something like "Gay: You are a fan of the man." Now how didn't I think of that first?!**

What about you, Rogues?
Played Dragon Age, getting near the end again. I started TLoU again due to the hype. It's still brilliant. I also started Ninja Gaiden Sigma to get my action fix.
I played two PS2 games this weekend: Skyrim and Fallout 3. I'd forgotten how choppy the framerate and how blurry the textures were on these old PS2 games.
How so?
I'm putting a lot if time into it. Had to start way back on a previous save and I'm pretty much where I was before. I did, however, start TLoU and Ninja Gaiden this week.
Why use a mail client at all any more? I just use the online outlook.
Ah. I am just hoping to beat a single level of shovel knight today, but I'm otherwise ridiculously busy.
