I would like that. I thought the Wii was going to have a cartridge slot before it was announced so you can play NES, SNES, and N64 titles on the Wii along with GCN titles.

I hope they could play all of Nintendo games on the next system. Maybe even Virtual boy title.

it might cannabalise the portable hardware sales, but might actUally increase portable game sales and the home console hardware sales.

Sounds like Nintendo's answer is to keep trying quirky gimmicks until they run out of so much money that they HAVE to push the panic button and try to compete. Only by then the general public will be so disgusted with them that nobody will care, and they will sink to hell.

Plus some people who own the handheld system would prefer to have a cheaper version without the additional hardware. A better option I think would just allow the ability to play those games digitally.
