Super Mario 3D World - impressions, Kotaku
Lately, if people ask if they need to get a Wii U, I tell them that it's a good system but not a must-have. I may well be singing a different tune after this game's out. It's really impressive.

Destiny. I had even forgotten the name of Bungie's next project given all the attention and hype Repawn's Titanfall has been getting.
I heard an IGN UK writer confuse Titanfall as a Bungie project last week.
I'm really looking forward to both of them...I think they both look awesome and could potentially finally knock a few levels of popularity off of Call of Duty, as well as supply some fresh ideas to 343 Industries and Crytek.
The pen aint great, most of the time I use it when required in desktop mode as a substitute mouse but you must hold it vertically straight because otherwise the point at the end is slightly off kilter. There is also a half second lag when writing which maybe more to do with my specs than the actual device, but to put things in perspective the wii u and 3ds writing with stylus is faster, more responsive and accurate. From what I've read it's because the finger touch tablets are capacitive, resistive are better for stylus, you can use stylus with certain capacitive touch screens as I do here but it doesn't feel ideal. It doesn't help that w8 is built for fingers or mouse, so even you use the fanch stylus you have to use fingers too and sub menus. I think apart from fine work in desktop mode you really need the right apps to the most use out of it.

I wish this was also a digital game for Wii U.
When are you picking up your 3ds?
This is what they said about Watchdogs, I'm skeptical. Good newsnon the companion app.
No idea....don't really need one right now and I've been picking up a ton of classic gaming shit lately.
I'm unimpressed by Valve's direction too....how about making some fucking software again?
The best first-person shooter developer at one time and they refuse to make any new ones.
Valve is the most frustrating developer right now. I love how some like to shit on Nintendo, at least they make games.
Valve can't count to three.
Robio, I'm posting something on Miiverse later tonight....inspired by you.
Well I'm glad you told me, otherwise I'd likely miss it. I've got to box up my Wii U in the next day or two and send it off to Nintendo for repairs. Touchscreen is having problems and I've got a nasty dead zone on it.
So does anyone think that Nintendo is going to squeeze in any big announcements during tomorrow's Direct?
The next SteamWorld game is not a sequel to Dig
This is probably for the best. While I do think the game was a little on the short side, I'm not sure I'd want to play an entirely new game where you'd essentially be doing the same thing. You can only dig down for so many hours after all. They created a neat little world where humans created robots, and then mutated into evil nasty gollum-like creatures leaving the robots to be the good guys. It's a nice idea to build a world around, and if they can keep a game's quality at that same level, we'll all be in for a treat.
And for you 3DS owners who still don't own SteamWorld Dig.... shame on you!
Valve do make software. It's called Steam.
All wii games are now viewableon the wii u pad. But the pad can't be used for controls. You have t use the wiimote. So that is pointless.
Posted now
And here I thought I was playing Valve's latest game, released in July. Or you could check out Counter-Strike GO from last year if you wanted an FPS. Unless by software, you meant Half-Life.
