It's the opposite for me. I'm starting the regret not pre-ordering a PS4 now.
I posted this in that REmake "sales failure" article on IGN and got 12 up votes...lol
Once the real games start coming out...MGS, new FF...GTA 5 if they don't release it on PC.....then I will start actually wanting a new machine.
LucasArts canned a whole bunch of projects over the years – including one game planned for Wii U.
According to Kotaku, the company intended to release a few titles leading up to the reintroduction of Star Wars Battlefront. One of these games was given the tentative name “Version Two”. The site reports through a source that the project “grew from the remnants of a project code-named Wingman that was going to be a Wii U title modeled after the old TIE Fighter and X-Wing games.”
Kotaku has a bit of footage from Wingman, which can be found here.

PC elitist!
YOU KNOW IT!
Damn...it looked good too!
I have finished 16 games this year so far, which I am happy with because that means no matter what I have averaged better than 1 game beaten per month when all is said and done.
However... I still have:
That's 89 games?! Not counting HD editions or the handful of 3DS games I have....
wtf
more coming:
Wow...it looks like a cross between Rogue Squadron and Halo.
I would have bought it at a high price....
Nagoshi was testing the waters with Yakuza 1&2 HD on Wii U, but sales fell flat
Edge: Yakuza 1&2 HD came out for Wii U; were you not tempted to take the series multiplatform from now on?
Nagoshi: The PlayStation format has a lot of users, so we knew that our audience is there. With the HD versions, we had already made the game once for PS2 and then in HD, so it was quite easy to port it to Wii U, whereas [porting] a whole new title is a bit tricky. I was interested in the Wii U format and curious about how many Wii U users would be interested in the Yakuza series, and the only way to find that out was to try releasing something. It was an experiment. But the sales weren’t great.
FRIGAY IS HERE!!!!!
Steam controller unveiled
The fuck? NO
IGA! I need this translated to retard-speak!
Haptics
Trackpads, by their nature, are less physical than thumbsticks. By themselves, they are “light touch” devices and don’t offer the kind of visceral feedback that players get from pushing joysticks around. As we investigated trackpad-based input devices, it became clear through testing that we had to find ways to add more physicality to the experience. It also became clear that “rumble”, as it has been traditionally implemented (a lopsided weight spun around a single axis), was not going to be enough. Not even close.
The Steam Controller is built around a new generation of super-precise haptic feedback, employing dual linear resonant actuators. These small, strong, weighted electro-magnets are attached to each of the dual trackpads. They are capable of delivering a wide range of force and vibration, allowing precise control over frequency, amplitude, and direction of movement.
This haptic capability provides a vital channel of information to the player - delivering in-game information about speed, boundaries, thresholds, textures, action confirmations, or any other events about which game designers want players to be aware. It is a higher-bandwidth haptic information channel than exists in any other consumer product that we know of. As a parlour trick they can even play audio waveforms and function as speakers.
I want a Steam pad right now. Right between MY ASS CHEEKS!
Hmm face buttons so far from eachother means you can't press more than one of them with your thumb or finger... how is one supposed to run and jump in Mario type platformers or shoot and jump in arcade type games. Doesn't make sense to me
