Playing a ton of Pikmin 3...its almost done. I just had something bad happen and had to turn the game off in anger.

Yeah there's lots of delightful moments like that. I was in the final level and I had just accomplished some amazing feats in preparing pathways. Very proud of myself. As I was trying to evaucate my Pikmin out of harm's way with about 30 seconds to go I whistled for my troupe and they all simultaneously took a wrong turn and jumped off a cliff into water. I drowned every single red, yellow, and black Pikmin I had in one fell swoop.

Just Fallout 3. Spent over 6 hours this weekend and I'm warming up to the game despite the ass-ugly looks of the world. I just got my house in Megaton which comes with a robot butler haha.

OMG my robot butler has a british accent. I'll start calling him GG.

And he gives me water. PURIFIED WATER jesus christ oh lord in heavens! I never knew getting something as pedestrian as water could elicit such a joyous response from me while playing a game. Since my game has hunger, thirst and sleep measurements for my primary needs, I need to keep them in check and for the first hours I had to get by on irradiated tap water.

Hahaha, Good shit.

I had something like that happen with my flying Pikmin...normally these assholes can fly over water, so I took like 50 of them with me and went to leave them over a pool while I went back for red pikmin. I come back, and they all fucking drowned. I was livid.

What?

I remember your really lukewarm impressions on the podcast, and your review is pretty lukewarm too. But I'm cool with an 8...even it's a Vader 8. Nyaa

"you get a game where you can boost behind cover. The mechanics are cool but they clearly never reach their potential. Strangely absent is any real upgrading system which is a key component of action games. The only thing you upgrade are weapons and that is done is a poor manner and it mostly just extends clips.

While mechanically it's a letdown at least the setpieces are incredible."

You're doing it wrong. Nyaa

You boost from cover into bullet time, melee someone in the arse, dive around (or hide behind cover) while recharging, then do something similarly badarse rather than hiding behind cover and shooting. It is repetitive, though. I'll give you that.

Also, unless the controls are different (and completely fucking stupid for some reason) on the 360, you don't need to hold down 3 triggers at once and use both sticks to aim in bullet time. (What the hell were you doing?!)  LOL

I played on the PS3. I havent played it in a long time but quickly looking at the manual you need to hold L2 to go into boost, you need to hold L1 for aim and press R1 to shoot. Thats three triggers and you need both sticks to move and aim.

And whats a Vader 8? Nyaa

Lol, I edited my own post to death. Vader 8=6, and fastest way (among many others) to enter bullet time is hold L1 then tap dodge; voila, bullet time with 1 button held!

Former God of War game director Cory Barlog has returned to developer Sony Santa Monica, the studio he left in 2007 after serving as director of God of War 2 and initial designer of God of War 3.

Awesome news, I was really worried about his well being.

A 6?! What kind of broken scale are you using? 8 is great, Vanquish is a great game, how is 6 great?

And I mean sliding while entering bullet time, thats the only fun way to do it.

PIKMIN 3 IS DONE!!!

Excellent game...some will find this to easily be the best game on the console thus far. I think it is, though Zombi U is still the game on the Wii U that wowed me the most, maybe because it was a new IP and the 1st game I played on the console. Pikmin 3 is certainly right up there with the Gamecube games, though I think Pikmin 2 is going to remain my favorite overall.

9/10.
