Xbox 360: 130k (A 44.9% drop from last year!)
The 360 number is 42% of the entire hardware sales this month and is of course first place. OMG. 130k... Kill this gen. Speaking of next gen ummm Wii U? Just horrible.
Anyway about the games, I am shocked to see Injustice at #1. Here are the Nintendo sales figures
Nintendo April Numbers:
-Lego City 3DS: 94K digital and physical combined
-Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon: 140K digital and physical combined
Nintendo LTD Numbers:
-Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon: 530K digital and physical combined LTD
-New Super Mario Bros. U: 770K digital and physical combined LTD

Second month in a row Nintendo has done a Nintendo Direct on NPD day. I don't really think they are counter-programming, but who knows PR people overthink things a lot.
Surprised at the top two.
"We have no games in development for the Wii U currently," company spokesperson Jeff Brown told Kotaku yesterday. He did not rule out the chances of EA developing for the Wii U again. EA publishes many of gaming's biggest franchises, including Madden, The Sims, andBattlefield.
Well that about confirms it, EA is done with Wii U. Dreamcast was the last console without EA support. Its going to be a bad hit, not leathal but still bad.
The one interesting thing I've gotten out of this was that apparently Nintendo has sold 2.1 million first party 3DS titles this year. Not a bad little number at all. Regardless of how much the Wii U stinks it up, the 3DS is going to be the family whore that brings in the money and will hopefully keep development going for it now.
IGN has a feature on the Ouya. I've come to the conclusion (and even IGN pretty much said it) that the sole purpose of this is to work as an emulator and to play the Final Fantasy 3 DS remake (that no one really wants to play anyway. Did anyone here donate/pre-order one?

^Nope. It seems impossible for them to get attention with the wave of traditional gaming news that is about to hit.
It would have been smarter for them to include bluetooth so people can use the games on their android devices that they already own (and use their android devices as controllers). That would at least be a selling point: $99 to play the games you already own, but now on TV. Oh, and now that you are here, this is a netflix box, we have a store and for you core gamers, emulate the entire library of the SNES.

How much do you guys think Wii U sales will jump once say Super Mario Universe & Wind Waker HD hit?
It still needs a price cut. If they offer a Wii U SKU for $200 around the time the Wind Waker remake hits they will see huge sales. The price cut must come with it though.
Yeah I agree. I had no problems with the RE: Revelations demo at all. If anything I'm just mad that it wasn't longer. That was a pretty short demo. Shorter than the one that originally came out for the 3DS. At any rate it was fun. If I had the money I'd be picking it up at launch. I'll still grab it at some point though.
In terms of percenatge it will be gigantic cause the numbers are so unbelievably bad. Nintendo will be like "Wii U sales increase by 500% with release of Mario!"

In real numbers it will be a blip though. SMU will sell close to one-to-one for existing owners but it's never had the broad appeal of the 2D Marios. Wind Waker re-do? I can't see much broad demand for that outside those who have already bought a U.
And by the time those games come out, (some time in 2014) who knows what the market will be.
