Basically this. Got a bit tired of my clumsy redguard fighter, starting a new game with a potential thief/assassin. Also wanted to check out two new mods by rolling a new char, Race Menu and ApachiiSkyHair.
I bought the map pack for BLOPS 2 and have been playing all weekend with a few friends, double xp weekend! Iwent through a whole prestige and a half. Up to prestige 3 now.
I'm playing on Easy, and the game still hands me my ass. The level I'm on now has chainsaws raining down on me! ARGH!!!
EDIT: I just beat that level! Woo! Fuck you, chainsaws!!!
Anyone see the Oscars? Kind of crappy this year. Argo won, ehh.
The show was a mess but I dont blame McFarlane. How do you make a boring Bond tribute, that takes effort.
CVG source: MS conference on April 26th!!!!!
I have been playing:
and
I've mostly been dossing around with Wii U Street. It's great for viewing your past vacation destinations in 3D.
There's a game somewhere in here too, it uses the Wii U features very well for the most part and the dual screens is very useful for the maps and wider views etc. Gyros and screen = weird but wonderful window effect, sure iPad could do it, Vita too but you need a screen plus gyros to do this stuff. Sometimes its not easy to find exactly what you are looking for and it almost becomes like a game, switching between satellite views and normal maps, turning street views on and off, moving the screen like scanning in Metroid Prime.
I can see someone doing a game like this, say you were a tactical planner in a swat team with an overview, you almost feel like Chloe in 24, you see the troops on screen, have a birds eye and cctv view and use the touch screen, gyros, second view etc to plan and execute an attack or hostage rescue or something. They could make an awesome twist on the Conflict series.
So graphics limited by budget and team sizes.
Check out this NFS Most Wanted Wii U video in HD from 6 minutes 35 seconds with PC textures.
Looks like a PC game, clean and detailed, crisp.
Glad I didn't buy Monster Hunter 3 after playing the demo. The camera is ass, I hate that you cannot run without sheathing your weapon yet the bad guys can move at the speed of light at the drop of a hat. And I really don't want to play a game where every enemy is a really hard boss. Graphics are nice though, Wii games look fantastic in 1080p.
Didn't like the NBA 2K12 demo but I only played it for 60 seconds before turning it off. Graphics are ass, controls weren't explained and I couldn't be arsed reading the manual or playing it more. Meh, sports games.
Now this:
I'm sure they will get great support, but the conference itself is starting to sound a little fishy. Firstly their features, in their own words are "aspirational" not reality, then the big picture of support they show is only half true and "wrong".
And this:
I spotted a problem with that light days ago but deleted my post because I didn't see Media Molecules portion. The light on the front of the DS4 is much like the Wii 1 IR port, it's flat and small and will only be seen when the controller is directly facing the tv screen which limits your range of movement unlike the PSMove ball which can always be visible. So at best the DS4 is going to have maybe, IR like features but two handed. It probably has accurate magnometres in it for Wii Motion Plus style movement. Probably not as accurate as Wii U's because the company who did the Wii U magnometres said that the size of the U controller let them put in very large sensors that could detect the absolution position. The DS4 is too small for that but it will still be comparable IMO with some drift.
I read the instructions, did the camera lock on the big boss. Whenever I was knocked over the camera lock was lost. And you get knocked on your ass all the time. Not only that the camera lock doesn't really do anything, it doesn't lock the camera on like zelda or anything. You still have to adjust the camera with the second stick or auto centre it with L constantly which momentarily takes your thumb off the dodge and attack buttons. That fricking bunny was slip sliding all over the place.
So Ubisoft Bucharest is doing the 360/PS3/WiiU port of Watch Dogs.
This is their track record:
2011: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (PC) - multiplayer collaboration with Annecy
2011 : Abba: You Can Dance (Wii) - in collaboration with Paris
2012 : Ghost Recon Future Soldier (X360, PS3) - in collaboration with Paris
2012 : Assassin's Creed 3 (X360, PS3, PC) - multiplayer in collaboration with Annecy
2012 : ZombiU (Wii U) - in collaboration with Montpellier
This is a next gen car racing game. Are you impressed?
