So Edgy you have a Wii again. Two things you should do.
1) Hack it and make it region free
2) import Xenoblade
I'm going to...just need to figure out the best way to do it.
I'm going to blame the codeine I am on, but I've understood about 10% of the posts in the GG Weekly over the past 2 days.
Batman LE:
priced at $99. While they both include the same content, Best Buy went into a little bit more detail:
Batman: Arkham City is set to release on October 18th.

Carry On my Wayward Sons, Carry On!
Sweet man thanks.
Man Batman Arkham City...I'm really not prepared for this game. Batman: AA is easily one of my favorite, most memorable games of this era. Just a really fun, atmospheric adventure that, like the KOTOR games, is actually better than the liciense its based on. I don't see how this can be anything less than a day 1 purchase for me. Granted, I haven't been paying attention to previews, so I have no idea if its shaping up to be as great as the last game.
Crazy Red Sox/ Rays game last night...16 innings, 1 run!
Muddy Chicken aka Dustin Pedrioa RBI single in the 16th gives the Sox the win....old school awesome game.
I went to sleep with that game in the background. Bobby V was rambling on during the telecast, he was clearly tired.
Good for Geek:
"Netflix is set to expand its streaming movie service -- which works with all major video game consoles -- to Spain and the United Kingdom, according to media reports. Daily Variety cites unnamed sources at "a few leading European film distributors" in reporting that the expansion is planned for the first quarter of 2012."
He was also clearly half in the bag.
Listening to random game music on pandora as I surf the web. So sweet.
I said that I was replaying old games recentely and wondered, if I stopped buying new games today, how long would it take to replay every game in your collection. And if you don't intend to replay them, then why keep them?
*Crono Trigger song on now*
Finally going to answer this question from GG. It would take years to play every game in my collection, I have more games than I know what to do with. And the majority of them I never intend to replay. Why keep them? Cause I like to collect them, I want to have a collection of something and for me that something is video games. To me I find massive collections to be awesome, if I go to someones house and they have like 1000 DVDs I am blown away. I want to look around to see what they got. So I want to be that guy but for games. Also in the future when I have kids I want them to have access to a huge library of games and be the house that all kids in the neighborhood want to come over cause I have the most games.
*Halo theme is on now*
There is also a psychological thing going on when I buy a new game, for some reason once I pay to own a game I feel I made a comittment to keep it forever. If I go back and resell it I lose money in the deal so I never do so even if I hate the game. I keep the bad games as a reminder to watch what you pay full price for.
*Some band covering a FF song, too metal for me*
There are of course the games I do keep cause I want them forever, I will replay them many times. These are the Zelda's, the RE's, the Metal Gears, Mario, Sonic, GTA, franchises I am very loyal to. Also the new awesome games that are some of my favorites ever like Uncharted 2, Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2, LBP, SotC and so on. If I really went through my collection and picked out the games I actually replay or truely want to keep I would trim about half my collection.
Yup those are the two main ones I have. Weird shit gets put on them though.
I guess I'm the opposite of Vader on this. The only games I keep long-term are the ones I'll replay over and over again. Everything else will be given away or sold eventually. While I enjoy seeing other people's massive collections of games and/or movies, I simply cannot do the same. Takes up too much space, and feels a bit overwhelming to me. I prefer to have a small collection of games and movies.
I love having a big collection. Just recently I got new shelves to fit more games and it was so much fun to set it up. From time to time I like to just stare at my collection. Everytime I add a new game I like to step back and take a look to see how this new game fits in with the rest. There is something about all the colors of the spines of games put together that is beautiful.
