Thanks for the summary, Leo. *Drools*
Sengoku Basara 3 expandalone version coming to Japan this fall for both Wii and PS3.
I'm surprised they don't skip Wii. SB3 didn't do well compared to the PS3 release. The difference seemed substantial, unlike games like Tales of Graces. Though I think people said the release was in limited numbers and it took a while to restock, and the Wii release hanged in the charts (too low for MC to provide actual numbers) after the PS3 version disappeared, those sales can't have been significant enough to make up for the launch. Kudos to Capcom for treating it right for once. I wonder what the chances of a localisation are. I'm not a huge fan of the style of game but I had fun with the original release, it looked and played great on Wii.

That is surprising... I'm guessing the Wii was intended lead platform for the last one so they are sticking with the same engine and porting to PS3 -- so may as well release it for Wii as well?
I bought and watched all 24 discs of the original Thundercats and it became a slog to get through because it was repetitive and the planet had like 10 people living on it. This looks better already, reminds me a little of Avatar the Last Airbender.
Another reason for the U.S to come back to Britain, we get free healthcare and if you live in Scotland you get free old peoples care too. Free medicine.
No Localised Tales of Graces For Wii
Namco Bandai is localising it on a PS3 Blu-Ray disc instead.
In an interview from the Japan Expo, which took place in France over the weekend, Makoto Yoshizumi told Kingdom of Tales that there will be no Wii version of Tales of Graces.
But PlayStation 3 owners will be pleased to know that it is still coming to Sony's console on Blu-ray as Tales of Graces f.
"We wish to deliver the best and most complete experience for US and European fans, therefore we're localizing Tales of Graces f. The game on the PS3 version is on a blu-ray disc. It would be next to impossible to condense all the game's data on a Wii disc, so unfortunately, there will be no Wii release," said Yoshizumi, Tales studio head.
He also mentioned that older entries in the series might be in for a new lick of paint, stating that the developer was open to remastering its legacy. "I still can't give much information about this. We are still discussing about whether this project can be done and on which game console those ports would be made," he said. He namedropped Phantasia, Eternia and Destiny as possible candidates.
It's really not a good time to be a Japanese RPG fan with a Wii, is it?
The game was made for Wii and then ported to PS3. This is some serious bullshit.
Namco can't scrape up the cash for 2 dvds?
They didn't even need two, or a dual layer. The original game only filled half of a single sided disc, the extra content no matter how substantial isn't larger than the main game. They could also release it without the extra content anyway, justifying a potential $10 difference from the PS3 release in that way. Sure, there would be complaining, but there is more complaining now and complaining is never a reason to do anything anyway. While the PS3 release did sell more in Japan it wasn't a substantial difference and the Wii release was initially plagued with bugs they had to do a recall for, most of them related to the New Game + function which means less replay value for fans who probably sold it fast driving used sales instead of new sales alongside the bad press for the bugs hurting sales further. The recall replacement plan went up late too. I also don't know about the Everyone's Recommendation Selection budget re-release and if that narrowed the difference.

BTW guys, we hear that PS3 is being made end of this year and is out next year? No comment?

Wait, what?
So the original game was 2.3 gb? And they can't fit the rest on a dual layer 8.5 gb disc? This is the worst excuse I have ever heard.
When did Square decide to make a FF 13 Part 2? Because all this time I was under the impression that FF Versus 13 was FF 13 Part 2. WTF?
Sorry, my bad, it was 3.8 GB so about a GB left on that side (wikipedia says side capacity differs), which is probably enough, and another 3.84 GB if they went for dual layer. It's just another stupid excuse as usual from PR talk. Why don't they just say we don't think it would sell well or whatever? To not burn bridges? Many publishers don't seem to have problems accusing Nintendo for everything in attempts to get them to do what they want and at least it rings a little better than things you can so easily confirm as lying.

They should just say that they think it wouldn't sell. End of.
What's this crap about disc space? Haven't there been some 360 games that are 3 or 4 dvds?
Anyway, I'm holding out hope that even though the original fan translation project closed in order to support the localisation in any form it came, people who are in the know of such things, but didn't have the means to translate the game themselves like that group did, may create a fan translation patch using the translation data taken from the PS3 release. Importing the fixed Everyone's Recommendation Selection release of the Wii game doesn't seem expensive at $39 total with shipping for the USA. Surely shipping to Europe wouldn't add too much more. If this happens, it may be a reasonable price for a desirable but not exactly must have title, and thus a better proposition than $360 for a PS3 with the game, definitive version or not.
At least we're getting Xenoblade, potentially The Last Story (I know someone confirmed it but 2012 is far and plans could change by then so I'm waiting for official announcements) and of course Dragon Quest X (confirmed for Wii multiple times, though a Wii U enhanced release is possible) so there's still a lot for JRPGs on Wii, at least in Europe, even though they're very spread out. And RPGs in general if we add Zelda and Pandora's Tower as action RPGs, even though they're more action adventures imo. It could be a nice period in Europe.
Man, I can't wait for that lazy Dragon Quest Wii rom collection to be released in Japan, so that we get the first damn trailer of Dragon Quest X all over youtube as taken from that release's bonus material. September 15 seems far but will be here in no time, maybe we'll get it earlier with a leak too.

That looks like I remember the PS2 games looking. Though I'm sure side comparisons would show it's much improved from that, it doesn't look all that great either. Probably just a bad batch or the specific area? Or is it a HD re-release, not the new PS3 game?
