Played it a bit more, but much less than what i played of it last week. I'll be getting back in the groove today.
I only played a bit of the first (second) world the first time, and just threw my hands in the air and said "fuck this shit". This time I'm giving it a fair shot. It is still mindnumbingly annoying, but I'm having less trouble this time, maybe because I'm more used to puzzles now.
I felt the same way about Braid. I loved the graphics, loved the music, HATED the puzzles. I don't know if I'll go back to it or not.
This reminds me, I also played a few scenes of:
Nothing like Little Boy meets Buzz-Saw!
I also played a tiny smidge of this one...
Ask would be excited by this if he were here... *sigh!*
I also played a couple demos. Mass Effect 2 runs nicely on my low end PC. So good, that I might double dip on both games if a good enough sale comes by before the release of ME3. Also tried out the Fight Night Champion demo on 360, which looks amazing and has a pretty good thing going with its fighting animations and controls.
I've been playing a heck of a lot of Uncharted, some MGS4 and even less LBP. I finally finished Uncharted yesterday and decided to dive right into Killzone 3 tonight.
Speaking of lack of time, I'm in the very same boat. Right now, when I do have time to play, I can't because of not wanting to expose my son to games like MG, Uncharted and Killzone. Just too much violence than I'm comfy with around him. So I'm limited to playing after 9pm or during a very small timeframe in the afternoon when he is at daycare. Nap times are great for gaming.
I officially stopped playing Dragon Quest 6 this week. I'm sorry but the game just is not worth playing. Weak story, repetitive gameplay, boring characters... shit I knew it wouldn't be a great experience but I was greatly disappointed. This one will go down as the one DQ I couldn't finish.
So in the meantime I've been playing a lot of Pac-Man CE and the Namco Arcade collection.
...
I couldn't wait until the end of the month. I picked up a Lite and will probably try this sooner rather than later. I'll let you know if I get a substantial way in or not...
Awww... You're a good dad, and speaking of which: How's yours?
I did it myself many years ago. It wasn't easy. I essentially packed up everything I had, left friends and family in Texas, and sort of started a new life I Florida. I was younger than you were, but all the same it was still scary to be completely and utterly on my own with no fall back or support. But looking back on it, it was the right thing for me at the time. I got into a new relationship and started down a new career path that I'm still on today. I don't necessary recommend it to everyone, but it's something to think about.
Been there. I was never a huge fan of violent games, but there's a reason why it took me over a month to finish No More Heroes, and a couple years later that same reason is why I never got more than half way into it's sequel. Fortunately I'm a Harvest Moon fan, so I haven't had to change my habits too much.
I've just made a liar out of myself...!
I've been playing:
and I'm also back to playing this:
Just started Chapter 6.
