This is pretty cool:
Epic Mickey Ditto's Epiclicious trailer
EDIT:
Motherf*****, there is a huge spoiler in this trailer. What a stupid c*** just ruined part of the ending for me,
^ Which is why I don't watch many gameplay videos anymore. Too many spoilers on teh internetz.
This is a trailer music montage by some DJ I assume Disney paid to make this promo, but they show something...... pretty godamn huge that I didn't know yet, that is obviously from the ending of the game. What a stupid POS. I feel like shouting at the person who made this trailer.
Don't know what to make of Halo being remade with the Reach engine. I think it'd be great but I hope it's not just a straight remake but a re-imagining. Not like GoldenEye 64 to GoldenEye 007 on the Wii, but more like the original Metroid was to Metroid Zero Mission: stick to its roots but add a bunch of new content and surprises.

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns
The original Metroid is a pile of dung compared to Zero Mission. Halo 1, for me is still the best of the series (I've only played 1 to 3). I don't see myself enjoying a straight up graphical remake - that's what Halo 3 is for. So I'm not sure what a remake of Halo 1 would give me unless it was re-imagined in some way. It might let them fix the Library, but that's not a good enough reason for a remake. Also, Halo 1 on Xbox already has better AI, gameplay, vehicles, mechanics and physics than any COD singple player campaign.
Forget Forza 3 VS GT5! Have you seen the recent comments by EA's racing division producer and Shift 2's producer? Wow! Talk about shots being fired!
Here are some things being said.
"On GT5:"
What does make sense to me... I think they have a very sterile, almost car collecting type of product where that's mainly what we do and I think we can offer something different," he continued. "Our idea is that if we can offer the most authentic driving experience and portray what it feels like being inside a race car, then I think that's where we can excel and where we absolutely will beat them. That I know for sure."
"On Forza 3."
Aside from Gran Turismo, Shift 2's main competition in 2011 is likely to be Forza 4, expected towards the end of the year. But for the time being, Nilssen is confident that his game will beat Turn 10's previous racer. "I fundamentally think that if you look at Forza 3 and you look at Shift 2, they're not in the same division. Shift 2 is just so far ahead."
And here what he says on Shift as a franchise:
Patrick Soderlund, the man in charge of EA's racing and driving games, has been clear in his intentions for the Shift series: he wants it to kill Gran Turismo and Forza. "We think we can compete and ultimately become market leading in the simulation authentic motorsport segment," he told Eurogamer.
EA man! They sure are confident!
I tried Shift's demo and it was good but the only way EA will overtake Forza or GT is if Turn 10 and Polyphony shuts down...
...or gets bought by Activision!

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns
I understand that they have to reach (pun intended) a younger audience that may not have played the original, but I do think they are playing with fire. Halo:CE is such an iconic game (whether you like it or not) that doing anything with it is only going to rankle the faithful. Personally, I'd be interested to see it, so long as they have various modes that would let you play as close to the original as possible, or more like the newer games. And multiplayer in some of those original maps would be cool.
^ (for the EA quote) Almost every reviews states that GT5 is the most realistic driving game ever made, sorry EA you cant deliver the most authentic driving expereince.
I read the GS review of GT5 and it sounds like its lacking in the polish department which is so strange cause that is one area GT has always excelled at. It reminds me of Sonic games, great gameplay hidden behind a ton of bad decisions.
GT5 could have been so much more than what it is now, had Kazunori Yamauchi stopped fellating himself like a human ouroboros, leading the development team in a vacuum isolated from everything else, including the competition. It is still the best racing simulator on consoles, but the potential missed here because of poor development decisions rooted in pride is astounding.
"Eurogamer: Why I hate the Saboteur Leo, this is for you"
I'm the one that was non-plussed with Saboteur. Maybe Leo was as well.
I was thinking about this last night, I really enjoyed the original Mercenaries (particularly the score), but got sick of it after about 10-12 hours -- there is a LOT of driving though boring burnt up North Korea. Then with Sabo I gave up on it after about 3 hours, the controls were too lose, the difficulty was not balanced well. So I have Mercenaries 2 on the shelf and I've put it off for almost a year now. Anyone here beat it?
I have a new favorite franchise BINARY DOMAIN! Looks like the Yakuza producer is thoughtfully going to get into some Isaac Asimov territory:
"The central element to the story is a battle between humans and robots. Nagoshi would not give a reason for the fight, but did say that at this point in history the world's basic industry is driven by robots. Robots have permeated human life deeply."
"They're aiming for AI algorithms that reach the top levels of what can be done on current hardware. This will result in a markedly different feel when comparing Binary Domain's movement routines to similar routines based of conventional AI. He believes that as a result of the AI work, the game will have some interesting gameplay."
"... Nagoshi emphasized that the game's top priority is to deliver a heated drama that shows rich ties between characters. The various game systems that are being put to use in the game are simply a method for showing that rich drama.
Another + for you good sir. His arrogance seems to come through in every review I read.
They said there would be footage soon, I am awaiting this.
"Testing begins on the Panasonic Jungle console"
Engineer 1: "How many of these can we fit into a landfill?"
I'm just curious. What are some of those poor design decisions and arrogance you guys speak of? I know it's there but I'm not clear on what they are that points to GT5 being a disappointment.
