I thought that was CING? All I remember was that Marvelous was going to focus more on established franchises aka Harvest Moon etc.
They just signed a multi-game deal with Digital Reality, who is a publisher with deep pockets -- funded by an anonymous Hungarian internet gajillionaire. So they cget creative freedom, meant and security. Marvellous, despite me buying as many of there games as they release, is in big financial trouble, and has a close relationship with grasshopper in the past. It's probably dudes helping dudes.
This is what I was thinking about, back in March when Wada announced he was stepping down, "Wada-san’s departure from Marvelous is the latest in a string of unfortunate events surrounding the publisher, due largely to their poor financial performance. In January, they announced that executives across the company would be taking cuts in their salary, with directors docking their pay by up to 43%. Perhaps there’s more to this story than “personal reasons?”"
And this from last November, "Marvelous Entertainment candidly stated during a financial presentation they lost money on three out of the four Wii titles published in the first half of 2009."
And this from June, "Marvelous, current suffering from financial difficulties, recently announced that they were ceasing development of new IP entirely, though that decision appears to have been reversed. In addition, Harvest Moon creator Yashiro Wada departed the company back in March, and now serves as an advisor."
GT5 delayed - no new date.
*Falls on floor*
The game informer site is having trouble keeping up.
Aspro:
"They just signed a multi-game deal with Digital Reality, who is a publisher with deep pockets "
Wasn't this just that shooter where Grasshopper are only providing the creative side and letting this hungarian dev actually make the game? And isn't it just for a downloadable game? It's not like this Hungarian millionaire has offered them long term financial stability.
No on both counts. At Gamescom there was a new announcement of a multigame publishing deal with them. The games won't be retail, only digital.
Gran Turismo 5 DELAYED
That guys was shooting blanks.
OMG. I thought that was going to be a satire, not something that someone was actually promoting. Wow.
Thanks for explaining that Aspro. I missed that announcement. Good for them. Hopefully some new IP's come from it.
Some more information from andriasang revealing you can mix and match various clothes that will also show in cut scenes. It was evident since the characters wore different clothes in various screenshots but still, cool stuff.

Hey I wanted to wait until some news started to pop up before getting on but Homer wanted to cover some stuff he was playing first so we went on. I think the biggest problem is that the conference was blog only, if it was truely live we could make fun of it much easier.
GT5 delayed. How does this happen. Sony has no games this holiday season...
Quite a bit of new epic mickey footage.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileAnyone else think Donkey Kong Country is a day one purchase?
It's a day one rental for me. I have no doubt that it'll be an excellent game, but I'm concerned that like the other DKC games it will be fairly short and a little too easy to justify for a full priced purchase.
I always had fun replaying those games.
