I really admire what HV are doing. I mean as someone who's been bitching for what seems like forever for western third parties to actually make some proper games. They have the right intent, they put their money where their mouth is and even design wise it looks like they are on track to do some high quality games. Maybe Conduit isn't Half Life quality, but these guys aren't a AAA developer and were doing licenced BS like Dora the Explorer to fund these breakout efforts for them.
You can argue that Gladiator isn't the game you want (uh arena based) or that you dont like the art style, but technologically speaking, no one else to date has pushed the Wii that hard. The detail, shading and effects are just completely above literally all games on the system. When it can be compared, even to lower level games on a system 50x more powerful, you're onto a good thing. I think credit where its due.
It reminds me of the Herbie Disney films. Little POS bug car outracing everyone. Fun stuff.
Did anyone see the Front Mission screens BTW? Looks darned good. 3rd person shooter.
I'll give credit if it ends up being a good game. Pushing a system's power doesn't mean a damn thing if the game sucks.
In other news take a look at that - Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 on the Wii. If these are the International versions of both then this is a major score. It also paves the way for Kingdom Hearts 3 on the Wii which I've been predicting for about 2 years. It'd be nice if I finally get this one right.
Well all I'm talking about is the tech. Like Sonic and the Black Knight, great engine. Doesn't mean I'm interested in the game!

Bayonetta trailer, wow, not sure what to think. Looks beautiful yet kind of weird and random to me. Far too fast paced for me to play unfortunately.
Lost Planet 2 trailer. Looks epic but sort of epic like that editorial on gamasutra epic. Not sure. Looks cool, but I think I'd get bored very quickly.
Yeah Bayonetta looks great, a gaunteed purchase for me. Same with Lost Planet 2. That game looks simply stunning. Definately amped for that. If Capcom can have a demo ready for download during Microsoft's "Bringing it home." initiative during E3 my mind will be blown.
Picked up Bionic Commando today and I'm loving it. Swinging with the bionic arm is immensely exhilerating and feels quite natural, I came to grips with it practically right away. The game looks quite nice however there is a little screen tearing here and there but it's nothing horrible. Picked up a shotgun and sniper rifle and along with my starting pistol they all feel like pretty decent weaponary. I totally love all the little challenges they put into the game and how they open up more challenges and/or give you ingame awards. I've only put in a couple of hours and haven't come up to a boss yet so I'm still very early on in the game but so far I am more then happy with my purchase. I'm really looking forward to playing the multiplayer as well.
