I'm sure a Wii version of Resident Evil 5 isn't out of the question and while it would be great for those who want that sort of thing I'd rather stick to getting the version on the more powerful console myself. While I love what the Wii-mote can do and perhaps even moreso now with the motion plus the difference in power is just too much for me to overcome right now.
Postcard to High Voltage Software:
Hang on, I'm wrong. Apparentely a loose translation says that they have adopted the RE4 camera system.
Hype +1
Me too, but Dead rising is enchanced with extra features and tweaked with new gameplay. From the screens it looks damn close to the 360 visuals too. If porting it gives them a chance to correct a deeply flawed game, I'm all for it.
I remember bitching to Edgecrusher via PM many moons ago about this game.
Of course my info was from Sporks. The guy lives in Japan.
GG Ngamer scored two out of 3. Animal Crossing check, new Capcom game that is the opposite of Zack and wiki check and Punch Out
Maybe they will show Punch Out later.
@gaminggeek No I didn't have any problems at all with the save feature and restrictions, in fact I kind off liked it. It really made me feel like I was right in the classic zombie film-like genre weighing my options, trying to survive, and living with my decisions.
There were two things I didn't care for though. One being Otis' constant annoying phone calls especially with the timing of the calls and the terrible 360 d-pad. The second was the survivor AI. Trying to lead 3 or more at a time to safety was an exercise in frustration.
^Will you be forever known as a giant question mark?
Dead Rising Wii - Wasn't the high point of this game being that it was "next-gen" due to it being impossible to have so many enemies on the screen at once? Looking at the scans there don't seem to be too many zombies in some areas, though the graphics do look nifty.
Bungie Making Another Halo - This is like finding out Retro's new game is another Metroid.
Famitsu Scores - Really people don't bother.
Wii Game Screens - Pretty solid line-up including these games and other unsaid ones.
One of the site's forefathers.
Yeah it's looking not bad but I'd have to see alot more on it like how many zombies they can get onscreen especially at later points in the game because wading through huge hordes of zombies was alot of fun for me. Plus I want to see what new content will be in it. It will have to be very intriguing to get me to pick up the game again. I mean it's great that their doing a Wii version for those who haven't played it, can't play it, or really want it but for me I've played through the game numerous times already so I'm just not sure it'll be enough for me to get interested in it. If I like all the changes and additions and the game has perhaps a cheaper pricetag then I just might get it. I am at least interested in keeping my eye on it to see how it turns out so I haven't totally dismissed the notion of getting it yet.
Holy crap IGN is idiotic. The story is that Bungie is NOT working on a new Halo. They have annouced its not a sequel to Halo and not the Peter Jackson Halo project, meaning its a brand new game.
Edge the Siren demo apparently is nothing like how the actual gameplay of the game is, the gameplay is about sight jacking and stealth.
Dead Rising looks great for a Wii game, but I dont get why they didn't just make an original game?
Well I hadn't intended on it but since you seem to like it so much I'll keep it like that just for you.
So Sonic Unleashed anyone???
Have you guys seen the new trailer, with horrible music and Werehog footage. Werehog mode is trying to be like any standard action game, you beat up on a bunch of enemies. I guess Sonic's arms can stretch cause he has all sorts of arm moves. Does not look like Sonic at all but looks better than the side crap they usually put in a Sonic game.
I'm still buying it.
Don't know why the fuss about Bungie making moar Halo. Especially since we don't know what other games do they have in development. And ESPECIALLY when we take into account is that their splitting with MS is more than likely of a cosmetic nature. MS probably haves them on a short, short leash with their hand hidden.
I mean, you don't release the developer that almost singlehandedly put MS's system in the big leagues to frolick merrily with whomever they wish.
I'm mildly interested. Probably a rental, since the Sonic franchise means nothing to me. I do like the artstyle and visual quality, though.
What? So it's not a new Halo game? Nooooooo!!!
Oh wait that's ok too. I'm just really, really pissed that this announcement got canned. Seriously what were they thinking.
The forces of E3 suckitude made sure Bungie could not annouce something good.
Oh and GG that conference that I said was worst than Nintendo was not Ubisoft, they had a good one besides the Monkez (COMING TO WII!!!) and Ener-G Sports for girls!! It was the Capcom non-conference.
Guys GS has Skate It on their live show right now, some woman on the balance board, whatever.
The good stuff is about to start, coming up next Killzone 2, Little Big Planet and Flower.
IGN has videos of Wario Land whatever its called, probably the one Nintendo game I buy the rest of the year (ok I may give AC a chance...)

Oh maaaaaaaaan. Those phone calls. The buzzing never stopped and if you did see fit to answer it you were left defenceless. Also the weapon switching was totally shagged, it was real time and yet scrolled through icons in a set order and your weapons would break, leaving you neck deep in zombies, swinging or eating a bag of popcorn. The AI was crap in that it was so bad that it literally made completing some missions impossible. I hate the save system with a vengeance. You have to play and die and level up and restart the game multiple times just to get to a point where the main character is strong enough to actually do some damage. That was totally F-ed for me, I hated it. I think I got to the point where I was on the motorcycle chasing that guy in a van when I finally quit.
But outside of those major frustrations, in my case, I kept coming back because it was fun and addictive just killing the zombies. If they fix the flaws I will get this, the RE4 camera sounds cool.
DEAD RISING Sacrifice of Zombies Wii DETAILS, loose bot translation and cleaned up by me.
* Made because RE4 Wii was very popular and thought that the DRising game system seemed to match it.
* Because it is said to be difficult from the early stages, they have adjusted it. THANK GOD
* Aiming for 360 standards, engine and visuals but it is an aim they are adjusting to make it operable, it will be interesting.
* Er this statement is kind of fuzzy but it sounds like they are trying to do as close to the 360 in terms of number of zombies and they have to mask the player by surrounding them with enemies, I'm guessing the new viewpoint helps.
* There will be new stages and bosses
* Er... it seems like they are using RE4 wii edition for inspiration
* You perform various actions with motion, such as a karate kick
* Using the IR it is considerably easier to aim your weapons.
* Reloading, weapon switching uses the + and - buttons
* The Sense of reality increased by having adopted the RE4 camera.
* Photograph mode is cut because it breaks the sense of reality?
* You attack by swinging the controller.
* The event progress system by time is changed. YES
There was still zombie pop up. Really the amount of characters on the screen is a graphical gimmick as you could only interact with the few in front of you RE4 style anyway. It was window dressing and nothing more from a period in the next gen lifecycle when developers were wowing themselves by putting tons of the same shit on screen at once - see Kameo. Having less enemies onscreen at the same time in a wii version wont make a jot of difference in actually gameplay terms. They can think up inventive ways of flooding the place, zombies smashing windows or dropping down from the floors above etc.
*deadly silence*
Oh Sim City Creator you can fly a jet around your city using the wiimote. Oh damn that looks awesome. I love Sim City, I want this.
Giant ball of death :lol!!!!
Seriously, screw wario and get AC. We have can online fishing parties and bitch at each other, send messages, the works.
