Movie Blog updated
Now with Exiled, the heroic bloodshed film from acclaimed Hong Kong director Johnnie To.

What about me? I demand special treatment... from a naked woman. You guys are ALL paying for it too.
It's great, everything is so much easier and faster. I like how the simpler design makes it more PC friendly than heavy sites like 1up or gamespot whose adverts and flash objects make my PC chug. This place is really made by all you guys and your presence.
I think the only thing that I feel is that, I have sort of a bunch of ideas and I can't do anything to implement them as again, I'm a useless technical turd. I like how we tend to veer off to movie talk at the weekend. I'm starting to think that we should have a Movie Geek Weekly page too and copy the format that we have here, only report on movie news/reviews.
Thanks to the both of you, I saw that last week and thought I posted a reply. I will try watching an episode.
BTW: I love how the MS conference falls just outside of my posting times. Ahhh, kick back and relax while Dvader has to update on it.
Not only that I'm not back on till Thursday So you guys are screwed.
Dude that's exactly what I've been saying. What do they have to lose making a great new DC for Wii? At this point its a forgotten franchise anyway...it would be perfect to bring back on Wii all RE4-ed out and shit.
Totally. Those guys WERE the gods at Capcom, which is why I can't believe Capcom didn't do all they could to make them happy. Those were the guys that came up with everything. Also Okamoto who I don't believe is there anymore....and I'm not sure about the guy that directed RE3, his name began with an A.
What surprises me, though, is that Capcom has been doing so well WITHOUT these guys. I mean, you can definitely tell that talent is missing, and they're not coming up with many truly INCREDIBLE games anymore. But they've done a very good job of at least making a high amount of really GOOD games without the A team around.
I still think RE5 would be so much more impressive if the real team was on it though.
Okomoto is at Game Republic making the Genji games and more. Some of the old streetfighter team moved on a long time ago to Arika: developers of Endless Ocean on Wii.
I got some replies to my post on the Ubisoft forums regarding their Wii support:
http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/1007558/Secret_E3_Capcom_project_Flock?sdb=1&pg=last
From a few forumers, not Capcom official though.
I agree with you again, really I would be breaking my back to keep employees with that talent at the company. It makes no sense to me, but I guess these guys were veterens that wanted to move onto to making original, creative games even if they weren't commercially viable to capcom. Okami for instance was a fairly large budget game for the platform. Ironically for this style of game, for Mad World for instance a platform with lower developments costs like Wii is the best choice. Especially when coupled with their previous GC experience.
Have any of you seen that FPS coming to the DS called Moon? I was really impressed by the video I saw...looks like Doom meets Metroid.

I have heard about it, never actually seen it in motion. Matt C loves it.
Anyone heard this Halo Blue rumor from gamespot? WTH?
How lame is the thinking here?
Bungie/MS meeting
"Gears of War is popular right? So why don't we make a game like that but set in the Halo universe?"
"7 million sold easy"
"WOOT!"
Some people were saying that based on this trailer Kim Ji Woon should have directed Indy IV:

Sad thing is, it probably will sell 7 million copies. It's Halo, now with 4 times the testserone!
Anyone know if Microsoft is going to stream their press conference on XBL? Or do I have to watch it on Gamespot?
Dvader has it listed as 6:30 pm UK time so 7:30 pm for you.
No idea. If anyone knows a reliable, fast and free place to watch this online other than XBL I would be grategul to watch it... while Dvader does the updates tonight
I did some surfing around, and it looks like Gamespot is the only one doing a live stream. The low-res stream is free, I think.
Screw it, I'l catch it sometime else. I normally watch them all after the event anyhow.
What does everyone think about the new conduit screens?
Thanks goes to Rag who posted this over at Gamespot:
Introducing Wii MotionPlus, Nintendo's upcoming accessory for the revolutionary Wii Remote
"Nintendo's upcoming Wii MotionPlus accessory for the revolutionary Wii Remote controller again redefines game control, by more quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space. The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player's arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play. The Wii MotionPlus accessory reconfirms Nintendo's commitment to making games intuitive and accessible for everyone. Nintendo will reveal more details about the Wii MotionPlus accessory and other topics Tuesday morning at its E3 media briefing."

This is unexpected, but pretty damn cool, IMO!
Oh wow, that is actually pretty freaky because I thought about this idea a few weeks ago. The whole problem with the current wii remote being the lag and positioning relying on the sensor bar. Other companies for instance are using wireless radio signals to position. So I thought that a modular attachment could be put onto the wii remote with a through port. That's weird because that is basically exactly what I envisioned.
Wow how does this thing work actualy? I had a course about robotic and one about mechatronics, so I already know how the accelerometers and gyroscopes work! By the way the biggest problem with the old motion sensing is moving in and out of the screen. It is almost impossible to move in (z axis) without moving in x and y axes.
P.S. yesterday I watched Paprika on the interweb, Bwahahahahahahaha
Rather big news there, I dont like the idea of it being an addon, that is somethibng major enough that it should be given to everyone, I dont know how but it should. Now some games will use it, others wont and it will be a mess.
No doubt it will be packed with a major game, probably something like Wii Sports 2.
Here is how the conferences work, you know the links, GS or IGN for feeds. We comment on the conferences here, I will watch it with the rest of you. When its over I will update the news with a sum up page.
Maybe all the new Wii's will have this technology integrated with the Wiimote. Say Wiimote version 2.0 and if they can make the attachment cheap enough and sell it with something like Wii-kendo than it might work.
Nintendo annouces WiiMotion PlusTrue 1:1 movement - FUCKING MEGATON!
Lulz they probably completely fucked over SONY and Microsoft who probably just ripped off the original Wii controller.
I hope so, even then most developers probably won't make games with this in mind.
One of the site's forefathers.
