It's a game keycard? Man, that blows. My son is asking my parents in law for it for his birthday. If I had known I would have told him to just buy digital.
01.09.25 - Another insider report from Moore's Law Is Dead (MLID) has released new details about Sony's handheld console, codenamed "Canis" and belonging to the upcoming PlayStation generation; it has not yet been officially announced or confirmed.
Unlike the current PlayStation Portal streaming device, "Canis" would be a full-fledged handheld system that runs games natively.
According to information from Moore's Law Is Dead, the console will have an AMD chip, which will be manufactured in a 3-nanometer process at TSMC. The processor combines four Zen 6c cores for gaming and two energy-efficient Zen 6 cores for background processes. By relieving the main cores, up to 20 percent more computing power could be freed up for games. The memory relies on LPDDR5X with a 192-bit connection. A configuration of between 24 and 36 gigabytes is expected, up to 48 gigabytes are possible.
On the graphics side, 16 computing units of the RDNA 5 architecture are planned. In mobile mode, the GPU clocks at around 1.20 gigahertz, in docked mode up to 1.65 gigahertz. According to the insider's calculations, the console achieves a performance of about 55 to 75 percent of a PlayStation 5 in classic rendering.
However, it could surpass this in the ray tracing area due to technical advances. In addition, the hardware is said to support PS4 and PS5 games, compatibility with older consoles has not yet been mentioned.
Just assume everything is a game key cards outside of Marvelous games and the New Sonic game.
Apart from Nintendo games of course.
I shudder to think how much Canis will retail for.
That sucks. An remake would've been cool.
Yeah, would love to see a Dino Crisis remake as well.
Hm. Eurogamer seems to be down. Could anyone check if it's a 'me' problem or a 'we' problem?
It's up for me.
Ah, now it's working for me again too. Thanks for fixing EG travo
No problem. Just dm me if it happens again.
This will be 70% as powerful as ps5 or something, can't remember.
Whoops haven't posted in a while. I have been busy cause I have a girlfriend now and it's going very well. In my free time I've been playing MGS3 which is awesome cause it's MGS3, looks and feels great. It is the same game so only get it if modern controls and graphics is enough for you.
Silksong soon!!!!!!
That's pretty awesome, Vader. I'm happy for you.
"I won't be at around the bush, Resident Evil Requiem should be releasing in PlayStation 4 & Nintendo Switch 2, seems this was kinda' known behind the scenes & in the grapevine.
"I'm not the first person to say this publicly actually, just corroborating. Talked about it with five different people in the last few weeks and know another guy with a good reputation said as much less than a week ago. So not from me, but I have been hearing the same thing.
"Unsure if it'll be at launch, and my guess is it'll be a different version with different tech, sorta' like the 360 / PS3 & Wii / PS2 era, since some features of Requiem like ray tracing are focused on modern platforms.
But if the question is, is it happening or not, the answer pretty much is, yeah it's happening."
I would believe him
I'm interested in Cronos for the Switch 2. I may not buy it this month because I am broke, but maybe soon. Thanks for the comparison video, GG.
PS5 Digital Edition getting a quiet storage downgrade
Sony is just trying to see how much they can get away with at this point.
