Really good Game Awards Show. A LOT of great trailers for a bunch of games that I want to play. Capcom was probably the standout for me with Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and new Mega Man game.

Pragmata... why a puzzle before shooting?

Reminds me of Paper Mario the Origami king. Stupid f ing puzzle before every move in battle.

That No Law game looks like they cloned Cyberpunk 2077.

Shameless but I'm down with it.

Interview. Never heard of their previous Cyberpunk game.

That was a great show last night, nice balance, felt like a real award show. RE9 was the best thing, Leon full on action game, thank god. Excited for a new KOTOR. The fake Mass Effect game Exodus looked amazing. Two tomb raider games and the remake one looks incredible! Divinity didn't show much but will be legendary. I am kind of upset Mega Man is another 2D game, that franchise deserves a full big 3D adventure. Ending on some hero shooter sucked though.

I can't seem to ever warm to Megaman.

He just has this big stupid face that annoys me.

Seems like a backwards step for Tomb Raider. I'm sure it'll be good and popular, but I was done with that 90s style 20 years ago.

LOL I like Mega Man's character design well enough, but the 2D gameplay never clicked with me.

Mario Kart World Free Roam is best when I want to play something after work but I'm too tired to put any real effort into it. Just cruising around collecting coins and costumes.

I also thought Kirby was lame till Forgotten Isle.

Maybe a 3D Megaman is needed?

BTW the GameCube Warioland is on NSO. Anyone played this?

Control Resonant looks awesome. I like the character switch and what he's doing with his abilities too.

That reminds me, I really should get to Alan Wake 2 at some point soon.

Very cool trailer indeed. Alan Wake 2 was really good. The “We Sing” chapter was particularly amazing.

Just finished the fire area in Metroid Prime 4.

Probably the worst part of the game so far, empty room with a few annoying robots. Copy and paste, felt half assed. The two characters felt quite cliche and became a bit annoying.

Thankfully the boss was quite fun and I like the escape sequence.

Then thrust out into the open world with no idea where to go. So I drove to the next purple area but couldn't do anything. Then Miles radios to remind me of Volt forge.

Say what you will about the hints, but I genuinely would have no clue where to go and would have wasted even more time trying to work it out. There was another time I missed a visual clue and was completely stuck until eventually when I asked the character gave me a clue.

Now I'm in a fight with Sylux again, the pacing is like fight two bosses in a row and I cant be bothered so I'm taking a break.

They need to move past the slack jawed astonishment fan boy bit, whenever a side character meets Samus.

It's already played out.

Tomb Raider: Catalyst takes place years after Tomb Raider: Underworld and continues the main series

12/13/25 - Tomb Raider: Catalyst (PS5, Xbox Series, PC), presented at the Game Awards 2025, is several years after Tomb Raider: Underworld (200Cool. Game director Will Kerslake confirmed this in an interview.

The new game thus ties directly into the classic timeline of the series and at the same time marks a return to its origins in terms of content. The reboot trilogy released in recent years remains part of the canon and will act as Lara Croft's origin story in the future. She explains her development into an adventurer without restricting the content of the new part.

The actual plot of Tomb Raider: Catalyst takes place after the events of Underworld and shows a much more experienced Lara Croft. An exact time interval is not mentioned. According to Kerslake, however, the story should not be too far in the future, as Lara's age plays an important role. Regardless of this, the studio sees the game as an independent chapter within the brand

game is planned that remains accessible without extensive prior knowledge: Previous events provide background, but are not a prerequisite for understanding the plot. Thus, Tomb Raider: Catalyst is aimed at both long-time fans of the series and new players.

The game is supposed to work as a self-contained adventure story and deliberately not carry the narrative burden of previous games. According to the director, the focus is on a new beginning within a familiar framework that maintains continuity and at the same time enables a clear entry. Release: 2027 (Europe)
