This weekend I spent some time in the World of Mario Kart. I also spent many, many hours in Hyrule. Probably about eight hours just today playing Tears of the Kingdom. I just finished the Water Temple.
This weekend I went back to playing both Super Mario RPG Remake and Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Finished them both. Excellent games.
I've been playing Mario Kart World with the family and have also delved into FAST Fusion. The Fusion mechanic, which basically lets you combine 2 vehicles into a new one with superior stats, is pretty nifty. It doesn't really impact minute to minute gameplay, but it gives a nice overarching motivation to keep playing and trying out new 'fusions'. I was surprised by the limited amount of tracks, with only 12 tracks available. FAST RMX features 36 tracks, altough I can't remember how many of those were added later as DLC. Still, the game feels rather slim now and I don't think that the pull of the fusion mechanic will be enough to keep me replaying those same 12 tracks long enough to really experiment with the fusion mechanic. A bit of a shame that.
