So I beat the Robot Chozo boss, in Metroid Dread, went to Benaria and a few mins later ended up fighting a Octopus boss.

I feel like these encounters are becoming too closely put next to each other, but I guess it depends on the order you play the game maps.

Bosses have you flailing about dying, trying to recognise patterns and vulnerability. Dying a a few times before working out what to do.

It's becoming somewhat tedious, unless they look really cool.

Also the names for the regions are stood bland, they all sound the same and I can't remember which one is which? We used to have Phenendra drifts and Chozo Ruins, here it's Benaria, Darren, Chronicles, Liron, Dylon,  Miron

Can anyone explain this blue Emmi?

Dark cloak chozo just enabled the emmis again but they operate weirdly.

There's this zone with water, when I run in it I seem to take damage, is it ice?

But then when the emmi is near me, not touching me, I seem to take damage even when not in water?

Also how the feck do you grapple like Tarzan from multiple ceiling grapple points?

The finger contortion is impossible. The grapple doesn't auto aim. You have to hold the fire button to keep hanging, somehow release it, aim with L in a split second and somehow move to b then back to Y.

Bought a few games in the sale.

Scrap Riders, this adventure game x beat em up

Great Memories of Azur, lovely art style, it's a platformer

Akane is this arena fighter arcade game.

Wallachia Reign of Dracula, is a side scrolling platformer but you mainly fire arrows rather than sword play. I got it because I think its the same dev as Ganryu 2.

Duke Nukem 3d world tour, I never played this before. It's really cool, retro Visuals but in full 3D 60fps with motion control aiming, only like 2 dollars

So far it's fucking weird to me. I should be playing Stalker 2 but morbid curiosity got the best of me.

Still playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle this weekend. Feels like I might be getting close to beating it. Want to do more of the side quests as well. Really enjoyable game.

Fake Harrison Ford, comical optimisation (just a PC version problem), Quantic Dream-level gameplay or lack thereof (I presume this will change later on), non-triple A pacing. The last thing is to its credit, though.

Riddick was a slow burn as well.

I've been dabbling again, Slay the Spire and Balatro. I could hook up a controller to this PC, or turn on a real console, but the weather is so nice I've been hanging outside most of the time (including right now). 30 degrees, but pleasant.

GG I asked coPilot to give me a summary of known Switch 2 rumours and this is what it spat out.  It that about it?

  • Release Date: Expected to be revealed in January 2025, with a possible launch by June or July.

  • Design: The Switch 2 may resemble the original Switch but with a larger size, USB-C ports, and an improved dock. It might also feature a second USB-C port for charging while in handheld mode1.

  • Performance: Rumored to have an 8-core Cortex-A78AE processor, 8GB of RAM, and an 8-inch LCD display. It's expected to be significantly more powerful than the original Switch1.

  • Backward Compatibility: The Switch 2 will be backward compatible with the original Switch, allowing access to its vast library of games.

  • Joy-Cons: The new controllers are rumored to use Hall effect joysticks, which should eliminate the stick drift issue that plagues the current Joy-Cons.

  • Price: Expected to cost between $399 and $449.

Relatively accurate aside from the RAM which is 12gb.

Missing a lot of details, like the gpu, HDD speed, memory cards etc.

Switch 2 Hardware Is Allegedly So Capable That a Lot of Players Will Be Surprised

Nintendo Switch 2 hardware is rumored to be more powerful than expected, leaving players pleasantly surprised.
Fans await big the reveal as Nintendo confirms Switch 2 in development and is expected to be announced by March 2025.
Switch 2 may see more AAA titles due to hardware capabilities, pleasing both Nintendo and third-party developers.

On the InstallBase forums, user Matt, who has been described as a "trusted developer" by many in the community, has made a remarkable claim about the Nintendo Switch 2. Replying to a user who stated that the Switch 2 might not be much more powerful than the PlayStation 4, Matt states that the "hardware is very capable." He further adds that a lot of people will be "pleasantly surprised," which possibly hints towards the fact that the Nintendo Switch 2 might have even better hardware capabilities than what fans have been expecting.

Matt further adds that both Nintendo and third-party developers see the Switch 2 as a "big potential growth driver." This suggests that the Switch 2 could get a lot more AAA titles than the norm for the Switch. However, he further notes that it will not be getting every AAA title all the time. The hardware isn't the only reason, as he also outlines that more third-party developers will be interested in developing games for the Nintendo Switch 2 because of current market conditions

I gave Wario Woods (NES) a try on NSO this morning and I'm hooked. It's more fun than I was expecting.

I will argue that Wario's Woods is not a Wario game at all. You play the game as Toad. Wario is just the ever present bad guy.

The first true Wario game I ever played was the one on Virtual Boy. It's a shame that's never been re-released,
