I got The Mario Kart bundle and Cyberpunk ordered.
Cyberpunk doesn't arrive till the 7th for some weird reason.
Might get FAST Fusion. Donkey Kong will get ordered closer to the time.
I'm mulling over selling my OLED. But the cost and size of available SD cards is a problem.
Even if a 2tb Micro SD Express card was available, I would have to load 1tb+ of Switch 1 games onto it and have less than 1tb left for Switch 2 games.
So I could keep the OLED. And/or wait for normal SD prices to lower even more and get a large 1tb card just to have everything loaded onto Switch 1 without having to flip between 5 sd cards.
I guess space never really bothered me. I am constantly downloading and deleting games on my Series S. I think the Switch was ever faster at downloads so should be good.
I'm looking forward to FAST and DK Bananza. We'll get Mario Kart as well, but mostly fir the kids. I haven't preordered, I'l seeing no killer app and the hardware itself doesn't seem that interesting either, at least not for that price.
Been playing Metaphor Re Fantazio this weekend. As is typical with these games it can take awhile to get things going with all introducing of characters, game world, story, etc. Things can seem a bit daunting as the game introduces its systems and game mechanics but you come to grips with it pretty quickly with practical use. Am several hours into it now so things are starting to get going. The story is intriguing and I’m interested to see where they go with it. Gameplay is pretty solid.
I’m getting pretty hyped for the Switch 2 launch. Really hoping that I can walk into my local Walmart or Best Buy this Thursday and get one off the shelf.
I've bought the Advance Wars remake for Switch this weekend. I bought it because I know it's something the kids would love and the youngest doesn't speak English (yet). I also bought it because they're games I always massively enjoyed and I haven't been playing much for the last month or two, so I'm hoping to reinvigorate my passion for gaming through this.
So far I've only played the first few missions. in the intro you're asked if you're familiar with Advance Wars or not, but saying that yes, you are well known with the series just triggers a reply that this tutorial will be a good refreshener then.
The visuals are every bit as sterile as I imagined them to be. Gone are the expressive pixel art troops, welcome sterile puppet like replacements. So far it also seems like you can't skip the battle animations as you could in the GBA and DS games, which will become a pain in longer campaign missions.
Also, there is some voiceover work here and there and it's done with a painfully obvious Dutch accent. Man, do I wish you could set your language per user and not just system-wide.
Other than those niggles, it's still sweet, sweet AW gameplay.

Yeah small bit of FOMO on my part. But only for Mario Kart, which I am terrible at online.
Took over 28 hours. The last case is ridiculous, you reach so many fake climaxes and the game keeps going.
Pretty great fun, although it's definitely a lower tier Ace Attorney series so far. Very fun though, Larry and Edgeworth relationship is hilarious. At one point we're having a heated interrogation with a high level diplomat.
Larry and Wendy Olgbag show up and interject. Edgeworth shouts
The Switch 2 June stuff I want to get is:
I bought the TotK upgrade then read that its free with Nintendo Online.

Gg, are you getting Split Fiction? Maybe we can co-op.
This weekend, I defeated the third Divine Beast. I'm going to wrap this game up before the Switch 2 arrives.

Just Phantasy Star for me this weekend.

Is Missouri worth a visit?

Played some more Hogwarts. About 4 hours in and it still feels like I am in the bloody tutorial.
I'm not getting it unless it's savagely discounted. I hear you can play it with copy though.
I'm not getting a switch online membership anytime soon though, not till Animal Crossing.
Gamechat is weird it's supposed to require a switch online membership but then they said its free to use till spring 2026.
But how does one use it for free if you can't play online without a paid switch online membership?
Is Switch online free till 2026? They would have mentioned it if it was.
