A couple weeks ago I picked up The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, and this weekend I finally started it up with the first half of the bundle, GAA: Adventures. It's been a long time since I've played any of the games in the series, but I had played all of them up until this one and generally enjoyed them a great deal.
I don't know what the hell they did with this game though, but it's killing me. These have always been slower-paced games that required a little thinking, but they have slowed this one down to a damn crawl. At first I thought I was just a little impatient after playing Yakuza 0, which throws a million things at you at a minute. But I'm in the second chapter and they're still throwing tutorials at me, and they bury them under a ton of dialogue. This latest literally took 15 minutes to get through, and it's virtually the same investigation and set up scenario that you've already been through a half dozen times in this game, not to mention it's been the core of the entire series for almost 20 years.
Anyway, I think I'm done with it. Maybe it gets better, but slow pace aside, it feels way too similar to the games that have come before it. Even after taking a break from the series for almost 10 years, everything about the game feels stale... except perhaps the inclusion of a surprising amount of casually racist jokes, which I have to admit I've laughed at probably more than anything else in the game.
I thought both games were great, but I agree they have made the game unnecessarily wordy.
Too much useless dialogue at times. It's definitely a super slow burn, but definitely worth it.
Did anyone buy Pikmin 1 and 2? I would like to play the original but $30 seems too steep.
Played 2, never cared to play one so no I'll pass. Still need to play 3 which I bought many many years ago and never played lol. I'll do that first then probably get 4 later down the line.
So FF16 sold 3 million in 5 days, this announcement has caused complete chaos across the forums lol. Is that good, is that bad, if FF doomed?! FF15 sold 5 million in a few days, that was the height of FF hype, a multiplatform release but clearly the game hurt the brand by being unfinished.
FF7R sold 3.5million in a week, on PS4 and 5 so bigger base. Had the hype of being FF7 remake. 16 is a PS5 exclusive, still gets really good sales and well people don't know if it's good or bad. Should it sell more than a remake of a hugely popular game. Should it sell more than FF15 even though it's one console? Is this a downward trend? Will 16 have good legs or not? We shall see.
I think I'll skip the demo. still diligently working my way through TotK and I'll buy Pikmin4 regardless. The original is still the best in the series though, and while I'm not liking the changes I've read about, it'll still be a great game.

I had considered waiting as well, but I do want to play it. The save can carry over, but I will probably want to start again when the game arrives next month.
I'm actually looking forward to it. It's gonna be my first Pikmin game so I have no clue what to expect.
You can use mine, filthy peasant. That one works because of my radiance and because I used the ointment.
The enslavement of a native population used for the merciless exploitation of their planet.
Good to see you 'round, dude!
Ah, the classic tale as old as time.
Whoa. That's some hard stuff.
And thanks! ❤️

Missed you and your free medical advice.
It's been getting 9/10s.
Reviews saying it's a solid classic and lamenting how most peeps missed it first time round.
🤣
Bayonetta is in Smash Bros, so I don't see why MK's Scorpion and Sub-zero coudn't also be in it someday. Make it so, Nintendo!
Yeah the OG has a vocal cult following that say it's a masterpiece. I am intrigued.
Didn't know there is a pikmin demo, guess I should play it.

I started downloading it this morning. Will give it a go tonight.
The space federation needs to fire Olimar. He's crashed every ship that he has flown.
Eh, 4 accidents in 22 years. I know drivers with a worse track record.
