Whats your new username?
The PS5 is still a freaking novelty. The idea of putting out a high end accessory for it just seems weird right now. Get the console into the hands of everyone who wants them first, and then take it to the next stage.
When you link your NNID to a local user account it takes over it like a zombie and renames it to the name your NNID has registered.
So unless I have 4 different NNIDs I can't transfer across the other local users. Which means I have 4 Animal Crossing houses I can't do anything with. 😕
Side note, battery life on the OLED is much improved, up to 9 hrs depending on the game.
Also the speakers are better. At first I didn't think much of them as the volume seemed about the same. Then as I was playing Xenoblade 2, even in areas with music I had played for hours, the speakers have a range where it could pick out certain instruments I can't even hear on the TV.
Suddenly a trumpet or guitar solo was a rocking 😁
Kirby Pillow is equal parts cute and horrifying. Just like Kirby:

Damnit GG! You’re making me want to get a Switch OLED now.
Do it! Do it now!!!
Same here
You guys aren’t helping!
We had a lot of fun with our first couple of games on Switch Sports last night. Soccer seems awfully similar to Rocket League.
The OLED isn't that much different from your regular switch. It feels like a premium version though.
It's only going to enhance the handheld experience. I was initially worried about the screen sharpness.
It's only slightly less sharp and it actually smooths off some of the jaggies you can notice on regular switch. Since it's OLED there is no colour less that sometimes happens when you run a lower resolution signal through a bigger screen.
The refresh rate seems smoother too, maybe its my perception, but racing games seem smoother.
The screen is brighter, but unless side by side you might not notice.
The OLED screen (which I've never tried before) is all about the colours. If you are like me and want games to be vibrant and colourful this is a good option.
Some of the best colour moments are the menus, sound weird I know but the colours really pop in some games. In game you can notice the blacks are genuinely black in dark areas and the contrast between that and vibrant saturated colours is lovely to look at.
I was playing Xenoblade 2 again and went into an area I'd been dozens of times, and it literally made me gasp when I turned a corner and saw these lanterns illuminating a background.
The system itself is a total win, in that it addresses pretty much every bugbear about the OG switch for me.
The kickstand is solid and can even be used vertically (hello schmups)
The top vents are robust and won't crack. The speakers are louder and have more range.
The screen is bigger, and yes it does make a difference given how close it is to your face. The screen is better quality and more colourful.
The battery can last up to 9hrs now. The Dock space is wider and won't scratch your screen
There's an ether net port built in.
It had twice the HDD of the OG switch which will make swapping games out between SD cards easier.
I think aside from the screen and sound my favourite feature are the angled vents. No longer on the back, so you don't get hot hands and you can lay the system flat without blocking any vents.
They cleverly angled them so that they don't even shoot hot air down towards your hands.
The system doesn't seem to get hot at all.
I got the Splatoon OLED model and it looks nice.
Nice impressions there, GG. Now I'm really interested.
Excellent impressions there GG.
I'd upgrade if it were more powerful but I play docked 99% of the time.
Great impressions GG! I am passing on all switch stuff until the graphical upgrade one comes, hopefully with Zelda. But knowing Nintendo Zelda will come out first, then later switch 2 and a new version of Zelda that you have to buy all over cause Nintendo doesn't do free upgrades.
The ps showcase had a bunch of cool Japanese games like the Projecy eve, called something new, looks like crazy DMC like game. The team ninja Ronin game looks cool, very far away though. GoW of course is stunning, day one (with sonic).
Today there was a Capcom TGS show, RE news coming next month. SF6 was shown and it has so many cool extra modes. The full adventure mode where you travel around and meet the SF characters and learn from them. There is the battle arena where you sit in virtual arcades to fight other players. There are smash like crazy battle modes with items, levels with dangers, different win scenarios, looks so much fun. The arena has a retro arcade where you can play old capcom arcade games like SF2. It reminds me of Tekken 3 with so much content.
