I think I'm going to put away Ni No Kuni for a while. When it's good it's good, but more often than not it's just plodding. I'm about 15 or 20 hours in, and I just can't see doing that for another 40 to 50 hours.
Also spent a good amount of time with my latest purchase, Varth. That's kind of making me want to revisit some other shmups, so I might have to put a list together. UN Squadron and Aero Fighters I've already come to mind.
And since my Nintendo Online account comes to an end this week, I've been messing around with some of the games in those libraries, though I'm not really missing too much in there. I've already played through most of the good games in there several times, and let's face it, the rest are just junk.
This past weekend it’s been all Elden Ring for me. Having a terrific time with the game. A beautifully crafted game world that urges me to explore it.
Thank you everyone!
I can’t seem to open your Elden Ring thread there Vader. It just hangs and keeps trying to open it. Tried to open it in a new tab and I just get a 404 error.
It's because there are apostrophes in the headline. The headline is used to create the URL address, and for some reason the apostrophes get changed into question marks. If you copy the address, and then swap the question marks into apostrophes, then the address will work.
Anyway, the real lesson here is don't create thread titles with apostrophes in them.
Eureka! Thanks.
That said, we've been doing the same campaign for over a year because we're lucky to play twice a month and our sessions are usually about 3 hours long. So I'm looking into Call of Cthulhu as an alternative. A lot of the missions are designed to be completed within 2 to 3 hours, and would be much less of a long-term investment.
Anyway I was curious to know if anyone else has played that, or crazily enough might even be interested if I can get my skills as a DM up to a passable level.
Haven’t done any tabletop gaming myself. Probably wouldn’t get into that as I just don’t have time to put into something like that.
Looks like Nintendo has some kind of rewards program going on. You get platinum coins for doing various things like play certain games on their online service and other things. Microsoft has a similar thing for Game Pass subscribers.
I've always wanted to try it but I don't have friends nerdy enough.
I havent played DnD in over twenty years. It was always a fun time, but I font have friends like that anymore.
I also played Star Wars the rpg which was amazing. We took over a Death Star once.
Lovely visuals and music. Still not sold on Kirby as a character. The floaty jump thing slows everything down and feels weird.
It's like they made a Kirby version of Mario 3D World.
Gameplay isn't quite as fluid or dynamic. But it's quite good as it's quite obvious that they really put everything into making this game as good as it can be.
Graphics are better than Odyssey, music is sweeping Orchestral.
Got some fun power ups and really made me smile on several occasions. The end trailer shows lots more interesting areas to explore.
Wouldn’t mind checking out that Kirby demo. Am pretty interested in this game.
Has anyone here ever been cursed with kidney stones? I haven't but my wife has them every once in a while. Now it seems she has her second one in as many months.
Fortunately I have not. She has my sympathies though.
