Guys? You mean Supreme! I insinuated he was a filthy vidiophile!
You're more guilty of this than I am. My Intel was factually correct, you were just fear mongering with half truths and lies!
I decided to keep the TV. After playing around with it last night, it's pretty decent. Problem is I'm sitting about 3 feet away from it and so seeing all the little flaws any TV shows really. However the sharpness filter was throwing me off, it adds unnecessary noise when too high and really makes any streamed content look worse. Once I lowered it and in some cases even just turned it off the picture was much smoother and nicer. Most of the time I watch YouTube or Netflix with my glasses off anyway.
As with everything the quality of the content throws me off. Some dvds have terrible picture quality, even mclassic does nothing for. Other dvds look very good through mclassic, not Bluray sharpness but still decent and watchable.
Switch looks great on this TV which is why I'm keeping it. Going from huge 4ktvs to this, its so much sharper on a 1080p set. Those jaggies which stand on in 4k you can't even see here. And the picture is very fast and smooth. The picture lacks the vibrancy of a more expensive set, but there's nothing under 32" with the features I need from a reputable manufacturer I'm familiar with.
I tried a modern Anime Bluray with it and it looked amazing.
Also the remote is pure magic. With no setup whatsoever it controlled everything from the hdmi inputs. It even wakes up your streaming device and controls through it. You can even shut it off via the remote. No more fumbling in the dark for different remotes.
I want it but I think buying games on sale has broken me, in terms of buying full price games.
Just got Spiritfarer for 50% off. Supposedly excellent.
Let me know how Spiritfarer fares. I've also heard good things about it, and some comparisons to harvest moon, but there's something about it that has put me off and I can't quite tell what it is. Possibly the art style.
No More Heroes III is fantastic and the game I wanted since I beat the first. Very enjoyable time.
that is good to hear. The game is getting some very mixed reviews, which I suppose is par for the course for Suda 51 games, but has made me hold off thinking about purchasing it for a while.

I bought it regardless. I loved the original and hated the sequel in equal meassures. I just want to play it, even if I end up hating it.

look forward to your thoughts as well. I am of a similar opinion to you, love the original and did not care for the sequel very much. I didn't absolutely hate it, but I just got bored with it pretty quickly and quit fairly early on. I just remember fighting a football player and cheerleaders in outer space or something.

I felt the same till I saw this review.

Also once I realised it was a Thunder Lotus game, makers of Jotun and The excellent Metroidvania Sundered, that gave me faith that the animation quality would be excellent.

I rely on YouTube video reviews a lot these days. Easy to subscribe and the reviews or previews pop up once or twice a week in my feed. All three video reviews I've seen really liked it:
GG played on a 17"???? How? What? The TV you got now is better, keep playing with it, you will get used to it. Still you need at least a 40 inch 4K tv to get the best of modern systems (not the switch )
Tomorrow is a big day! Sony event! Should see the next god of war! Some surprises hopefully. Matrix trailer! Football starts! Woo!!
Love the split gate story blurb, Portal Kombat! That's a fun game, I tested it out and portals are so much fun to mess with. I hate most multiplayer shooters cause I'm just not great at the act of split second aiming, so when you throw in gameplay that is about movement and strategy over just quick aim I can do much better.

I only ever played the 360 on it as a bedroom TV. I have a 55" 4ktv and a 65" 4ktv
Also a spare 40" 1080p not in use. And a crappy ass 22" 1080i TV.
The new 1080p 24" is great for Switch, looks so sharp, no excess jaggies. Also since I've been using 4ktvs for a while now I'm using this, I've noticed the 4ktvs seem to feel laggy a bit compared to how fast and smooth switch feels on a 1080p TV.
I think all the post processing for 4ktvs adds latency. I felt it playing splatoon 2, until I put it in game mode which mad the image a lot less attractive.

Oh thank god. Ok I was afraid for a moment lol. You need to set your tv into gaming mode. Yes it lose some of the visual quality but most of that which you see is artificial shit your tv shouldn't be doing. Let the game be the game, it doesn't need smoothing, or saturated colors.
Anyone watching the Sony presentation? The nights of the Old Republic remake seems pretty cool, but the last 15 minutes have been very underwhelming. Just more footage from games that have already been announced and nothing that's changed my mind on my initial thoughts of them.

One of the site's forefathers.
Play fighting games!

Mrocioa hdmi switch
Its just beautiful, 5 hdmi in, 1 output. Has a real premium feel, excellent form Factor. Works beautifully. Not too expensive either 😊

I actually didn't know this model even existed till yesterday. Any significant differences from the slim? Reviews okay?
Also can you still buy games digitally from the store? Is there WiFi built in?

Bought Rage and Alan Wake today. Would have got The Evil Within and Enslaved too but the condition wasn't great.
