Butterfox switch joycon grips that are rigid and can be docked without having to remove them. They are pretty good, made for larger hands, they are okay for me even though I have medium sized hands. Not as comfortable as the switch grip.
They are hard and rigid and fit really snuggly into it. You have to pop them out by applying pressure on the part that slides into the brackets. Easier than it sounds but jarring compared to using soft silicon grips. The shoulder buttons are much larger and easier to press. I'm still waiting on the wider grip to slot in between them.
Nerd!
But a nerd with less neck pain.
Same here.
VG27/4 in the article about Switch's with the revised processor arriving at retail:
"Is that enough to justify a system upgrade? Probably not. But we sure would like to be able to replace the battery inside our own Switches."
Another great example of games 'journalism'. it's the exact same battery, you yolks.
Hey GG, how about trying to purchase a cheap broken Switch so you can use that as a spacer while playing on the telly? Not sure how much taht'd cost, but in the end it might save you from buying a lot of plastic tat that you won't ever use again.
Not to mention that a more efficient CPU which runs the system at a cooler temp which helps prolong the life of the system is a much better reason to upgrade then a mere increase in battery size.
I wonder if that is true. You could argue that more efficient processors (those with smaller nodes, 7nm compared to 16nm for example) would be more prone to shortcircuiting as the smaller nodes are easier to melt when running a current through them...
Not sure. I was just always under the impression that heat was detrimental to electronic devices and components.
So my other part arrived.
It's a wide spacer. Used by itself it's a lot lighter than using the switch bundled grip, but without handles it's a touch hard to manouvre without it feeling somewhat, off.
With these:
Attached it's much better, though it's hard to remove your joycon from these grips and it already started to crack my joycon case a tiny bit. To be fair they are supposed to be left on permanently but then you can't flip them and use them for 2 player action which kind of negates the whole point of the joycon.
If I were to leave them on it is kinda cool and chunky and fairly solid and the shoulder buttons are larger and much easier to use. I just dont like that I might crack my joycon should I remove them and put them on a lot. It's a dilemma.
So as expected I use SPlatoon 2 to test my contraption.
Grizzco was offline so I turf warred alot and omg......... still. The team with the most machine guns wins.
It's so banal when you are put on a team with 3 rollers and a sniper vs all machine guns. Or on a team with a brush, a sniper and a blaster vs all machine guns. You can just look at the results screen and know who would have won based on the weapon balance of each team OR....... which ever team has a disconnect automatically loses. And you have a disconnect in every quarter of matches at the moment. Ugh.
It still also sucks when you are shooting someone and their shots are hitting you, but for no reason your shots aren't registering as hits and then you die a half second later. Wondering wtf is going on.
it is complete.
^ no cat in the image?
It's because of lag. The original was much better in this respect and as a result felt much more fair. I find Splatoon 2 neigh unplayable because of this.
No white stain either...yet
Spawn Wave will be taking apart the new controllers so he’ll no doubt point out any differences. I think he’ll put up a video of it tomorrow.
