"I shall let you live, little alien.....PSYCH!!!   Mr Zurkon lives only to kill." LOL

Best line of all time. This has to be the best little helper guy developed since the little demon familiar in Castlevania Symphony of the Night who used to scream "DIE" at everybody.

Having such a great time with Monster Hunter World. The game looks fantastic and taking down these huge beasts is always satisfying, especially when you got a group of four doing it. The cat creatures are so cute. I always get a kick when the one you have as a companion goes in the water he uses a small rubber dinghy with a paddle to move around. The one eyed cat chef is pretty funny too. Whenever he makes a meal he always finishes it off in some dramatic fashion. There’s a lot of things to do in this game although I’m not sure how this compares to previous Monster Hunter games. It’s always cool seeing two big beasties fighting each other as well, just try not to get caught in the middle. LOL

I had Monster Hunter on Wii...never played it. Then I got it on Wii U....never played that either.

Would this time be any different?

To be fair....the Switch did get 5 years worth of Wii U definitive edition ports in one year. LOL

I have Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii. I played it very briefly but I did like it and thought that it was a pretty cool game. For whatever reason I put aside for a bit and just never got around to it again. I wanted to get it on the Wii U but I was a bit late to the Wii U party so getting a physical version of the game, which I preferred, was difficult to come by so again I just didn’t get around to it. That is the extent of my Monster Hunter experience. I can’t really compare how this game compares to the previous games but I’m definitely having an awesome time with it.

Played Switch at a friends on his new 4KTV.

Yeah, games look way better and sharper on a normal 1080p tv compared to this. It doesn't have the same jaggies and artifacts that playing SD content on an HDTV has, but it has a low colour low resolution look to it. It makes games look like 720p or even slightly sub that. Bleh.

Played ARMS with him, for some reason, unlike the grip, you cannot use the shoulder buttons to punch with the single joycon setup which makes things difficult. Played Mario Kart battle mode, tons of fun. And we actually had the most fun playing Snipperclips.

Switch looks pretty good on my 4k...but then I've never seen it on anything else so I can't say otherwise. But the visuals look just as good as Wii U or PS3 to me. If not better.

I'm sure I would dig it...I guess it's just one of those games that I tend to put off forever for some reason.

I'm not sure what this means exactly. As switch is more powerful than both those systems and renders at higher resolutions, so if the visuals only look as good as those older consoles, something aint right.

From what I could see on my friends 50 inch 4K Bravia, it looked smooth and rounded, there weren't any artifacts, it was a clean pictures. It just looked a lot softer than on a 1080p TV. Maybe if I had a while I could fiddle with his settings to get a sharper more vibrant picture? Maybe I should have also checked if the switch resolution was set manually as before using the automatic option and limited range RGB - I noticed a big difference when I set the switch picture settings manually.

The Switch renders at higher res than the PS3? I'm not sure about that. It's also not powerful enough for it to matter in the least whether it's stronger or not than the PS3. I can't say I played Mario or Zelda and thought to myself "Man, this destroys the PS3". No, it's about on par. But the Wii U was pretty much on par also. But I was talking more about the clarity of the picture than the actual power behind it. Like how Dreamcast looks better on a modern tv than the PS2 does.

Regardless, it looks fine. Enough said.

Yeah it is powerful enough to matter, it renders games that were only 720p on 360/ps3/U at 1080p. If you are playing on a 4k tv though, from what I've seen it makes the picture and visuals look more like 720p or lower. Try it out on a proper 1080p tv and make sure you set the switch tv settings manually rather than leaving it on automatic. Turn on full range rgb too.

Heads up for those of you getting Bayonetta Collection. It's $60 on Amazon, or $47 if you're a Prime member. Or on the Switch eShop, it's fucking $80 to download both games ($50 for B2, $30 for B1).

It always blows my mind when it costs more for digital than for physical.
