I don't see the big deal on the push Windows except that it's Gate's baby.
Watched a play through of the story mode in Street Fighter V and all I'm going to say is, "Oh hell yeah!".
But Gates has nothing to do with anything they do anymore does he? Its not like he forced them to use windows 10. (which was a horrible idea.....i hate the xbone's menu system.)
The initial point of the Xbox was to have a gaming focus set-top box PC. It's UI was suppose to be a form of Windows tailored to gaming, much like how Steam OS is a form of Debian Linux tailored toward gaming. The plan was to have a trojan horse for Windows to be dominate in the living room. Fifteen years later and the Xbox project still hasn't made a profit while arguably sucking away users from PC gaming at a time. It's only with the Xbox One that Microsoft has truly made some steps in unifying their console and computer OS.
On top of that, the original Xbox was sort of a "worst of both worlds" approach as it had a minimalistic console OS and limited features with costly off the shelf PC hardware and high manufacturing cost. That's why the original Xbox put the division so much in the red, they were using the exact same components you purchased at your local Best Buy.

And yet Steam OS and the Xbone OS both suck ass.
You could also say the Xbox got a lot of console gamers interested in the PC. Most people I knew back then had never played many PC games and franchises that the Xbox introduced them to, outside of the huge stuff like DOOM which everybody had played at some point. Xbox also opened the door to the console world for a ton of studios who usually just stuck to the PC. So in a way, the Xbox did unify the console and PC. Just not with an OS.
Went to our biggest comic convention! William Shatner was there, he was hilarious during his Q&A. Gordon and the chick from deadpool who is also on Gotham was there. Abraham from the walking dead. Some of the cast of ST Voyager like the doctor I saw. From DS9 there was Worf and Odo. But the best part is all the cosplay, I got a few pics.

Nice pics. That Fusion Samus is amazing. And it's funny how George R.R. Martin has replaced Silent Bob as the official costume for fat guys. We almost went to it this year, but we were already down in Boca last weekend, and just didn't feel up for a trip down there two weekends in a row.
