Fuck the world man...
The Witness review is up, early GOTY.
I feel this way about so many choices made by games industry giants.
After I set up my headset the other day, I decided to test out all my consoles I have hooked up, just to make sure it works.
I fired up the Saturn & Shining The Holy Ark. Yep, headset works fine....but damn, this was a bad idea. I ended up playing that game for like two hours. I've never played it but it seems really good. Its like a Legend of Grimlock 1st-person style dungeon RPG. Was not expecting that. I'm not going to continue with it right now, but it definitely is something I want to go back to. And the sound works great for the Saturn through my headset. It actually seems to make a big difference in quality for these older consoles.

Not surprised they didn't tell the staff they were layed off until the last second. Happened to my previous job too, and happened to many staff members in my current job.

Its a damn shame this wasn't at the grammy awards.
Sorry to hear about that, man.
Life is Strange is wonderful. If you're looking for a great story-driven game, very much like the Telltale games, then this is for you. I have a feeling the end and some of the choices I make will be very emotional. Miso glad I picked this up.
Yeah, that game is no good. I couldn't even finish it because it turned me off.
River City Ransom SP 3DS is looking hot
Yes. Yes it is. Really hope this comes overseas. I still play the NES version on occasion, but it's a rough sell these days.
If it does , I may pick it up. I loved RCR back in the day. Never finished it though.

He's got a point....unfortunately, for a high production game 2 million sales per game isn't good enough anymore. So three Fable games have sales of 7 million....averages out to a bit over 2 mil per game. Hell, Metroid has never even sold THAT good....which is why Nintendo hasn't bothered with it in years. Metroid is probably the most expensive games Nintendo make as they have insane high production values, and I believe the original Metroid Prime is the best selling one which didn't even sell 2 million (although back in 2002 that was fine). So if Nintendo do go back to Metroid, it would basically be them taking a hit to please the fans.
It sucks, but this is the games industry today.
I'm surprised at this post, usually you'd be ranting about the lack of Metroid.
Sorry but this is inaccurate. It's only the reality of the game industry if the developer choses so. When implementing cost controls it is completely possible to release a game that sells 2 millions, or much less, and still be profitable. Not all publishers/developers follow the "go big or go home" model that the industry peer pressure's so much. Nintendo is probably the best example of this. Fire Emblem Awakening for example is the best selling Fire Emblem game by far yet has only sold 2 million copies. Captain Toad was seen as a success by the company despite likely selling under a million. Nintendo constantly churns out Kirby games for handhelds and consoles despite them selling less than 2 million copies. Nintendo told Retro to work on another Donkey Kong game despite Donkey Kong Country Returns only selling around a million and a half copies. Nintendo isn't bothering with a new Metroid because they simply don't feel like making another Metroid game. You can use the "go big or go home" argument with Ubisoft, EA, Activision, Capcom, Square-Enix, and Microsoft. But certainly not Nintendo as they are one of the, very few, big players who don't follow that model.

I disagree with you man...that applies to probably every Nintendo franchise BUT Metroid. That's what I said...its a series that relies on cutting edge tech and graphics engines. The cost to produce a high end Metroid is likely why Nintendo hasn't made one in years. I don't buy the "they don't feel like it" thing at all.
Again, I said FOR A HIGH PRODUCTION GAME. I'm not talking about niche or indie stuff, or something like Fire Emblem. Of course those can get by with lower sales...they don't cost as much to make.
Nintendo doesn't make high production games. Like they literally have never made one. They have never made a game that costs around $30 million to create. Metroid is mid-tier budget at best. And even considering that, outside of the two Prime games, which even then is arguable, Metroid has never been that high on the production totem. Other M was relatively low production from what I've played. Hunters wasn't high production. I don't think you realize how insane games like Tomb Raider and Assassin's Creed cost that justify them to sell over 7 million copies.
