My understanding is that both games nickel-and-dime people with copious amounts of DLC in order to get the complete experiance. It kinda makes sense with KI, since it was a free-to-play game, but there was no excuse for it in Forza 5, which launched with considerably less content than previous games in the series for full price. I also remember Forza fans complaining loudly about the game being a severe grind fest unless players paid real money for virtual money to progress normally in the game.
Forza 5 wasn't really that bad, it's flaws were vastly over-stated. I had a great time with it and never paid for any dlc or ways to boost my progress in the game plus they fixed some things later on and gave out some free tracks. Killer Instinct is more of an episodic type game then anything else plus you can play for free like you said.

That's good to know then. I know people were complaining loudly about Forza 5 at launch. Sounds like what happened with The Sims 4 launch with the loudest fans bitching endlessly about missing stuff, but I've never had a problem with that game other than the lack of pools, which we now have for free.
I'm getting close to finishing a wonderful 101. Then I'm not sure what to tackle next. I'm thinking I'll pick up Smash when it releases, maybe Hyrule Warriors. Maybe The Evil Within. I also would like to start The Walking Dead Season 2. I don't know. I'd love to participate in Target's sale, but I'm afraid I won't have the dough until it's over.
If you enjoy Hyrule Warriors, you can get 100+ hours out of it and that's not even including the DLC that's still coming.
Just consider this: This Adventure Mode map has battles with certain victory conditions in each and every square. Those squares can then be played again with different characters for treasures like Weapons or Unlockable Characters. Once you get done with THIS map, there's another "Master Quest" map that comes with a DLC pack. It is repetitive action, sure, but the strategy elements and character grinding make it worthwhile.
EDIT: The next DLC pack is supposed to add 2 Majora's Mask characters --AND-- I just read there's THREE Adventure maps coming, as well, for a total of FOUR. There's a playable Boss pack coming in the future **Play as Ghoma and Dodongo?!** and two additional Game Modes which I know nothing about. It truly is the game that keeps on giving!
Sega does what Nintendon't**
**Drops out of the console race altogether!**
Hush you!

They have combined Mountain Dew and Doritos. Civilization as we know it is over.
Now, all that a dudebro needs is an IV and he is set!

The best year!
Bayonetta 2 and trying to finish Dragon Age 2.
Wow that story about that nintendo sales rep is fantastic. A must read for all. I need to get Console Wars.
