Ars Reviews Sims 4
"Everywhere you look, you'll see a place where DLC or an expansion pack would fit a little too perfectly"arstechnica.com impressions aspro
I'm actually in a pretty good mood this morning, despite yesterday being a work day from hell. That's probably because I'm very much enjoying The Sims 4.
I have so many --RIDICULOUSLY-- good games to play, I don't even know where to start. With the Wii U we get --ONE-- game every few months and we're supposed to be satisfied with that. I have more great games to play at this moment than the Wii U has had over its entire life-span.
The reason I have not signed up for PSN+ yet is that I just don't have the time. I'm playing FFX and enjoying it for FFS (a fifteen year old game).

After 14 years of The Sims series, that's a standard. Not sure why it's even a complaint, since there's plenty of content in the base game to justify the price, IMO. Some people just like to bitch, I guess.

You are right. It is better that they shipped what they had and not dragg out development, especially when everyone has come to expect the "pool party" expansion and the "pets" expansion etc... Particularly when only the most knowing of knowing game enthusiasts will notice the obvious ommisions.
However, leaving out things like a swimming pool, that even normals will notice the lack of, smacks of expolitation of your loyal users.

Of course, that's assuming there won't be free updates that will expand the base game to add those features. The Sims 3 had new features and items added to its base game for free; we'll see if that remains true for The Sims 4 as well.
If they add things later, even things that were first included in the ancient Sims 1, for free or for $$$ the only thing that matters is whether or not the consumer is getting enough value out of the core experieicen they paid $60 for. And in your case, and many others, that is the reality.

It's kind of lost its hype since that E3 trailer. Do you not see Hyrule Heroes as being too ten material?
not sure what games I want, tbh. Bayonetta, Hyrule Heroes, Smash, Far Cry, The Evil Within all look great. But I'm just not sure which ones are day one or even 2014 purchases.

No chance for Hyrule, I am expecting a 7 rating at best with that one. I played the demo and didn't hate it so there is that. Its a fan service game, maybe it gets to an 8...
Pretty much all the games outside FC4 I know I will love. Alien is a big question mark but all I have seen so far seems like it will be good, maybe short. Ok maybe Captain Toad could be too simple or get boring quick but I have faith in Nintendo. The other games, all very sure bet franchises/genres for me.
PS: I too am playing Ctrl V and agree with Steel's opinion.

Some companies pay towing at least. Mine did. They just don't make that public most of the time.
Horny mood?

Pretty nice figures:

Leo why do you have such bad luck.
I recently found out my schedule changed and now I have to be out all next week, I thought I would be home playing Destiny. Grr, oh well.

Not to knock a system while it's down, but I was looking at my PS4 dashboard this morning and I was a tiny bit overwhelmed. I saw:

Minecraft
The Swapper
Transistor
Mercenary Kings
Diablo 3
Don't Starve
inFAMOUS: Second Son
Pixel Junk Shooter Ultimate
Rogue Legacy
Resogun Heroes
The Last of Us: Remastered

Bayonetta 2>>>that list, though.
Foolz kind of got me thinking, rank what you believe will be your favorites of the year this holiday season.
1. Dragon Age 3
2. Destiny
3. Bayonetta 2
4. The Evil Within
5. Smash Bros.
6. LBP3
7. Ass Creed Unity
8. Alien Isolation
9. Captain Toad
10. Far Cry 4
Out of all of those I wish the best for The Evil Within cause its Mikami and I want something close to RE4 level greatness.
But you didn't really care for Far Cry 3 last year.
Bah, I meant 4. I probably wont even buy it this year.

Hmm, I had planned on going to bed at 11PM. It is now 2:45AM. Goddamn you, Sims 4!
I di9dn't include Halo Collection or GTA 5...but obviously I will enjoy those just as much.
