I'll be eagerly awaiting my disc copy of season 2 for ps3 after the fiasco of downloading 400 days.
I don't remember. What happened?
It never saved after each mini episode so I was never able to progress in the game. I finally gave up on it.
Oh Fuck yeah!!!
I've also quietly started Shovel Knight and Virtue's Last Reward. I love Shovel to death. Virtue is as grueling to play as 999 was, but the quality is up just as high as the original. I'm in a strange mood. I have more time to play and more interest in playing right now, but I find myself just wanting to rest, or I avoid playing for some reason. I'm happy about finishing some Zeldas, but not as thrilled as I thought I would be. I feel like I want to play something new or different, but then again I look forward to having nothing to play at all. I go from wanting to do some burst gaming and play Rogue Legacy for 10 to 15 minutes at a time to being able to sit for two hours to finish Minish. Don't know where this is coming from. Maybe it's the drugs I've been on?
I loved 999. Played it eight times to 100% it, but Virtue's Last Reward just didn't appeal to me in the same way. It started off great, but I fizzled out on it quickly.
That's strange. Why not? It's very much the same type of game with things more organized and accessible... Did you play thru it at all? Was it the story, the setting, the characters?
I think I finished three or four puzzle rooms, and never went back to it. I preferred the artstyle of 999 more. The only character I liked was that insane rabbit at the begining, Zero III or something. I'll have to give it another try someday. I did the same thing with Phoenix Wright. I loved the original, but the sequels just didn't click for me in the same way.
I was thinking about this last night (around 2 am). When you think about it, CBS fired Gerstmann and a lot of the staff left. They filled the void with the B team. Now they have bought Giantbomb, and after giving gamespot a chance to stand on it's own (and failed) they are giving the dollars to giantbomb to beef up their team (in effect re-Gerstmanning CBS' game efforts).
So in a weird way, we are back to where we started.
It's The VG Press Cosplay Vote-a-Thon!

C'mon... we had to have equal representation of the most discussed topics at the VG Press.
(1) Boobies.
(2) Bulges.
(3) Video Games.
After everyone gets a chance to vote, I'll post the winner tomorrow if it goes off the front page!
