Its not? I think it is. Nintendo has never felt this unorganized through a consoles 1st 2 years. Have 3rd parties done a good job on Wii U? No, but I don't really blame them. And if Nintendo was expecting anything more without any reason, I definitely blame them.
Yes Wii U has the most must play content but not by a whole hell of a lot considering how much longer its been out. And its still nothing to brag about.
And they should have known they can't do it alone as they are right now. Sure its surviving, but is it doing all that well? This is what alone looks like for a Nintendo console....and its not good. If Nintendo was expecting 3rd-parties to just jump on board with arms open, they are living in the past or insane. They should have seen this coming a mile away and completely changed their software strategy and how they deal with studios.
I still think they need to go back to the 2nd-party supporting software approach. Gamingeek, I recall even you agreeing with me on that one. Over the past 15 years that's been proven to be the best possible way for them to support a home console.
They never expected or thought that at all. 3rd parties jumped ship and all they can do is pootle on as they always have. They usually deliver 2-3 AAA games a year and that hasn't changed. Their software output is better than ever with best ever versions of games like Mario kart, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem etc.
I certainly do agree with you, if 3rd parties are giving them to two fingers, they should give them two back and really dominate software sales on their own systems in way no one else can. But that's expensive and not always successful commercially. How much money was SK bringing in? Rare were getting slower and more arrogant so they had to cut them off.
GC had Nintendo support, 2nd party support and 3rd party support and it still did poorly in the market (yet still raked in profit for Nintendo).
So this new Wii U update says that you can view notifications on the gamepad even with the wii u powered down. Okay big whoop, no one really wants that. But what's weird and slightly vexxing is that now the Wii U pad will alert you witha ringtone when a notification is there. A f****** ringtone!
I guess you can turn if off in the settings.

Played 5 Grand Prixs in a row in Mario Kart 50cc cup.
Not much to say on it so far, 50cc is like donkey work to me, just ploughing through it to get through it. Things will heat up in 150cc. Music is grrrreat. The Moo Moo Meadows theme... OMG.
The lack of AA isn't bad at all, barely noticible for me even when playing on a 1080p set. It's there, you can see it if you look hard enough but it's barely noticible. Graphics are great but not as amazing as some of the gifs would have you believe. But then, when they bathe the levels in gorgeous sunlight it can indeed look super amazing. Love how the detail on DKs' back pops.
Tracks seem sort of wide-ish and easy-ish too. I prefer the reworked old tracks, they're practically new with all the new music and graphics. One thing that is vexxing me is that there are no stats or anything to show what changing tires or karts/bikes/parafoils actually do, that was there in the Wii game, now nothing?

Anyone notice that Donkey Kong gives a salute that's a touch too close to a Nazi salute? LOL or it's like a Superman pose. I slow motion the replays sometimes and Peach blows a kiss once she wrecks you, so funny.

I've been playing the first Witcher. This game's inventory and questing system suck BIG HAIRY DONKEY BALLS. So shitty and cumbersome. I've tried to move the story forward at several points in time throughout the past 3 or 4 years, and every single time this game manages to defeat me with its boring-ass backtracking and shit quest management.
I also tried giving Bayonetta a go. I completed Chapter 1 and I found action games are the cure for when you're on a gaming slump.
Go back to Diablo 3 assblaster.
You know, I'm tempted to uninstall D3 but at the same time I know the moment I uninstall it I'll get the urge to play it once again. So I leave it there, and I don't play it.
I guess the answer should be to reinstall Dota.
