It was probably my point about the automatic angle reviewers apply to games like that? If so it was an even better point than you imagine it to be because I came up with it.
I am not confident enough in how much we actually know abuot Miyamoto's influence on the games. He was an artist first, dragged into designing the art for the side of the cabinets.
I am thinking that Gunpei Yokoi or someone similar is behind the aspects of Mario that defined him -- such as his jump.
I think that Shiggy has always had an influence on the concepts and art, but not the actual gameplay itself.
But I freely admit I am ignorant on this. Iga or Ninty would probably best know the names of the people who are most lkiely behind the games.
Ep 45 1:37:15 Anything different is shit. That was the point about FPS games not called COD and reviwers. It forced reviewers to actually think, so they dismiss it as being archaic, or eastern european, or pc centric, or mysogenist, or only focussed at people who paid $700 for a graphics card. Anything but actually admit they are shit at gaming.

You know it's funny, in what's apparently a case of Facebook and Google watching everything we do while we surf the web, shortly after I read about Injustice on iPad here I started seeing ads for it in my Facebook feed.

You're forgetting the man who has spent the most time with Miyamoto in recent times: Robio.
Yeah it is true. Shiggy does have more than just concept and art influence. The entire reason I didn't get to hang out with him as much as we'd like in 2008 was completely due to all the last minute tweaking he had to do with Wii Music. That was a sad year. All those geocaching trips we had to cancel. . . *sniff* . . . it makes me sad.
Practically everything he touches is gold. His gameplay ideas changed gaming forever. He goes into Retro who is struggling to make a Metroid game, flips over some tables and tells them "make it first person" drops the mic and walks out and they make one of the greatest games ever because of it.
He was game director of many games so he had to be the head of all aspects of the game.
It's further proof that Lucas was the worst thing to happen to Lucasarts or any Lucas inspired recent game. But the story sounds a bit hinky:

So they started out thinking they would make an exclusive game but the only way it would be made, was if Nintendo met financial "demands"? So it was a fishing trip? Then N. refused and it was turned into a multiplat, then Lucas fucked over another team by changing things and the game was canned.
God, I hope Miyamoto goes to every meeting flipping tables, making crazy ass demands and shit. Then tosses the mic on his way out. It makes for a good visual, at least.
