I think the last one is the greatest 2D platformer of last gen. Excitement and quality don't always go together. There have been way too many platformers on the Wii U, I am burned out.
None of this will matter when I actually play the game which I am sure I will love, it will only determine WHEN I play the game.
And yes its Nintendo's job to get people excited for thier games, very few people wanted a direct sequel to DKCR even though it was that good. They wait a few years then the excitement for a new one builds.
I was a freshman in college when the original DKc was released. Woah.
Final Fantasy theme song how I love thee.
Your 10 year old self sucks.
**PS: Yes, I bought this. Yes, I hate to admit it, but Double Helix actually did a fine job recreating the feel of the original. Take THAT Sega fanboy!**
Fun-Fact: I pretty much read evidence today that Bravely Default takes place in the same universe as Final Fantasy. FF takes place in the distant past of BD and is known as the Age of Mythology. They --ARE-- tied together.
I just tried the demo. Meh. You just run and slash everything, I know that is what strider is but yeah. Never a big strider guy.
All PS4 owners play FFXIV now.
Its not like there is anything else to play.
So this game is an MMO tons of controls right. L1 is a run toggle button?! Out of every command in the game that gets its own button.
Last one came out FOUR years ago!
Quiet you.
Note to self dont go to the PS4 menu when you are setting up a beta...
Let me set the mood for you, Travo...
I don't like Jason Schreier, but I do like this quote from him:
"There's an old saying: if it looks like a Final Fantasy, feels like a Final Fantasy, and sounds like a Final Fantasy, it's probably Bravely Default."
Square is so dumb, sales would double by just calling it a FF game.
Ummm... they DID for the prequel... and sales did NOT double!
**You're just not on your game tonight, Vade!**
^ WTF is that? I have never heard of that. woah
This. Some of us here played it. I loved it, iirc I think Robio hated it. Don't remember anyone else though...
Let me blow your mind some more:
"Bravely Default, known as Bravely Default: Flying Fairy (ブレイブリーデフォルト フライングフェアリー Bureiburī Deforuto: Furaingu Fearī?) in Japan, is a role-playing video game by Square Enix for the Nintendo 3DS, a spiritual successor to the 2010 video game Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light.[3] Originally released in Japan in 2012, the game was developed by Silicon Studio, best known for the adventure game 3D Dot Game Heroes.[4] The game’s job and battle system are similar to Final Fantasy V.[5] It features augmented reality in the gameplay.[6] On April 17, 2013, the game was announced to be released in Europe and Australia in 2013 and North America in 2014, published by Nintendo.[7] An updated version, titled Bravely Default: For the Sequel (ブレイブリーデフォルト フォーザ・シークウェル Bureiburī Deforuto: Fōza Shīkuweru?), was released in Japan on December 5, 2013. The Western versions of the game are based on the updated version.[8] A full sequel, Bravely Second, was announced in December 2013."
