They call each episode a "day". If you are playing on normal it is possible to reach an ending in about 3 days. To get the good endings you need to start getting into the 20-30 day section. After you have reached a day, say day 7, if you fail at that point you can pick right back up from day 7 the next time you play, so it's not like you have to go back and start from scratch.
El Shaddai tried that with Jeans. Apparently the jeans sold out in Japan. Game flopped.

Speaking of shit, after seeing these screenshots I'm not overly disappointed anymore that Breath of Fire is going mobile.
I have played about 2 hours of the Stanley Parable and it is HILARIOUS. What a difference between this and Gone Home. This game address my main complaint with Gone Home which is that the role of the gamer is almost nonexistent, with Stanley you are involved in every single step of the narrative, in a way the story is about you. There is a bunch of exploration, full branching paths that dramatically alter the story or lead to a hilarious skit by the narrator. You the player control the game and the story, I do not feel like I am just artificially moving the story forward.
The broom closet nearly had me tears and it gets better the more times you play. Did you guys try to get the door achievement, lol!!!! I want to keep trying every single possible combination of actions, how knows what the narrator will do next.
1.5 months after I buy my Wii U, I've finally taking GG's advice, and using the Upad charging cradle. I had to buy a small end table just for it, though.
Hopefully, that will help with the battery life some.
Why not just buy an extension chord & keep the charge chord plugged in like a normal chorded controller?
I've been doing that, and having that power cord running across the floor to my Upad all the time is very annoying. I'm also worried I'll eventually damage that thin wire by accidentally stepping on it from time to time. I now have the stand right next to the wall socket, and I can just pick up the Upad when I want to play, and put it back for charging when I'm done. My end table will also be used to hold my PS3 and PS4 controllers too, and I may get a charging cradle for those as well.
I can't stand that little thin wire. It gets in my way all the time at work.
Ohter than on 3DS it would be a day one and that on mobile I'll never try it. #I'mamobilist
