My son is pretty good about stopping when we tell him to, though we had some issues with that when he was a little younger. The tantrums are still there though, but mainly when he gets frustrated with a game/level/etc. that he can't complete. I'm amazed he didn't break more controllers than he has at this point. Then again, that's not necessarily behavior exclusive to a 7 year old.
Speaking of games for kids, have you heard about the new website second-generation.com? Yes over at "Second Gen" as they call it, they review games from the perspective of a gamer who has a kid and wants to buy games that they can both enjoy. Games are evaluated with a simple philosophy "will my child and I both enjoy this game?" Second Gen has discarded the antiquated review system and simply gone with a three tiered system of "Buy it" "Play it later" and "Never get it" that takes all the work out of trying to figure out what a 7 means on a particular reviewers sale. What made you buy Luigi over Mario? Luigi is remixed, harder and limited to 100 secs a level. NsmbU is a proper 2d mario platformer, it's not imaginative but it's still well designed.
Well I got Kingdom Hearts HD....kinda disappointed though. Not because its bad, but because I didn't realise THEY DO NOT INCLUDE KINGDOM HEARTS 2 IN THIS PACKAGE!!!!
Silly me...I just figured seeing as how KH 1&2 both came out on the PS2 and they were the 1st two games in the series, that they would have both of them in here like everybody else does with their fucking HD collections. Ha! What in the fuck was I thinking???! That would have made like SENSE and shit.
But there's Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Everyone loves that right?? Right?? Hello.... is this on?
Annnnnnd all the cut scenes for 358 /2 Days. All the fun of the story without any of that gaming stuff to mess it all up. Everyone loves watching their games right?

Just deleted the Rayman Legends Challenge app. Went through all the trouble DL'ing it (with Wii U it's ALWAYS a hassle DL'ing things!) only to NEVER USE IT EVEN ONCE.
Just deleted The Wonderful 101 demo after playing it ONCE. (Got the game now, hope I'll have more time for IT!)
I like the style of W-101. You can see Viewtiful Joe influences in there, Bayonetta influences in there, Okami influences in there. (I wonder if it's intentional, just Kamiya's style or a little of both?)
Downloading the Toki Tori 2+ Update to the U as I type this. (So pleased they made it a free update rather than a DLC thing! Whenever I get an actual chance to play the game, I'll appreciate it!)
If I've put a sum total of 5 hours into my Wii U in the last --YEAR-- I'd be amazingly surprised. I'm looking at Mario U, Monster Hunter U, Pikmin, Rayman and all the things I've DL'd and I hardly remember playing ANY of them extensively!
Well that's still 5 more hours than most people have spent with the Wii U.

This is making me mad. If I held off buying Rayman Legends for a few more days I would have seen this... grrrrrr... I'm going to see if I can sell it on Craigslist and then just buy it back. Even if I lose $15 or $20 on it that's still a big of enough discount for me to go ahead and take advantage of this. So then I could have 101 and either LegoCity Undercover or maybe Disney Infinity.

Yeah those are some of the delightful moments you get when dealing with little ones. For instance when my son was 1 he toddled over to my bed while I was resting. His mom said to him, "be quiet, daddy is trying to take a nap." He paused for a moment and then poked me in the eye so I'd wake up.
