So how long are we going to shrug off the Wii U's abysmal sales? You have this and EA pulling all support and I still feel like Nintendo can pull of a GC sales level system. Am i crazy? Just hopeful? I just cannot imagine a console with beautiful new Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart, Smash, Metroid games not selling well.
EA supported the GC. So this is whole new territory for Nintendo (to have one of the major publishers snub them). So I think you are being hopeful to be aiming for GC level of popular support. But in the end, does it matter? If you like Nintendo's games you will get your value out of your Nintendo system.

True but I would like Nintendo to remain successful. Well now that I think about it I am not sure which Nintendo is worse, super successful Nintendo or scared Nintendo. I want a good 4 years from my Wii U.

And they are all stoners, IMO.
So long as they remain profitable they can get by. And look at it this way, no vitality sensor/ wii fit boards etc... Just solid Nintendo entertainment. And if they fix their VC as a result that would be a great bonus for true gaming fans [open up all prior libraries (NES-> GC) with a good price model].
I've had Tomb Radier for three days and played it three hours. Not a bad ratio for a weekday acquisition.

I really don't think its THAT big of a deal for Nintendo to not have EA support. When was the last time Nintendo consoles were THE place for sports games? I have NEVER used a Nintendo console for sports other than the NES I guess. It was Genesis, Playstation, Dreamcast, Xbox, then 360 for me. I just don't associate an N console with sporting outside of the odd title. That's why I don't think most people will even notice if EA wants to get all Squaresoft on Nintendo.
What COULD hurt Nintendo is if EA is just one of many publishers that decide not to make games for them. Then they will be forced to try to do some kind of Nintendo 64-like strategy of pumping out a library of incredible 1st and 2nd party games to make up for it.
Either way I don't care all that much...its great if it gets support, but at the end of the day its going to more than satisfy me on the exclusives alone.

Did anybody here know that SYSTEM SHOCK 2 has been put on Steam for $6.99?!?!?!
I have been wanting to play this game FOREVER...but it was never on Steam or anything!!! THIS IS THE ORIGIN OF BIOSHOCK! Some people claim its better. It came out in 1999 but the production values look good enough to be an Xbox 1 game. I am downloading NAO!!! May be my next game I play...this is great.

EA seemed like they were getting better for awhile there...not only with stuff like that, but publishing Brutal Legend, Alice Madness Returns, Mirror's Edge..etc. Lately though...meh.

I haven't been checking Steam much lately....this is killer.
BTW guys I also played the Blood Dragon demo. That is really awesome too. Love the 80's vibe and the choice of colors. Wish more games took this approach instead of "omfg look its all photo real and looks like Iraq" shit.

I think it was crap. But that is totally on the gameplay, I couldnt get past how crappy the combat was. I am sure everything else about the game is really good.
