Now if I only knew what those specs actually meant...
It's basically mostly current but not top of the line tech if true (DX10, not 11, though that tessellator might offset some of it if it's capable). But it doesn't tell much about real world performance beyond the RAM based stuff since it doesn't include the actual speed of any of the processors (CPU or GPU).
Edit: my bad, nothing explicitly indicates DX10 featureset, it could be better.

All three conferences were equally horrible.
Microsoft for announcing new additions for games that have been updated annually or every other year.
Sony for showing nothing new.
Nintendo for underwhelming graphics, showing mostly ports of old games, and theme park.
Fucking terrible.
One of the site's forefathers.
Not equally horrible but horrible as a whole yes.
3 gb of RAM is more than I expected. Pretty good.
Again, sad that Nintendo can't dominate a show with a new console.
Platinum games
Nintendo gives Platinum a console powerful enough to do Madworld, IN COLOR this time! Or a crazy Bayonetta type game...and they make a poor man's Pikmin.
So, I'm unclear on a few things.
Are Wii U games going to be $60?
Is the system's online going to be account based, so you can tie all your purchases to your account instead of the hardware?
Are they going to get ports of more than 5% of 3rd-party games?
Looks like Nintendo have confirmed that the Upad game stream is 60fps.
For two tablet support they have to halve it, but it's drop in/drop out capable too.
Note this has nothing to do with system power and the fps of the game played on the TV, it could be 15 or 120 and the above would remain the same technically.
Edit: Upads last 3-5 hours depending on brightness and need 2.5 hours to charge. I guess they didn't put a large battery in it to keep them light, the streaming and actual screen take a lot out of it. It's not horrible considering it's not a portable you take to places without power outlets and it can be used while charging...

Wow
Probably not.
Apart from Ubisoft and Warner Bros I am pretty suprised at how lame 3rd parties have been about either putting versions of games on Wii U or making the odd exclusive. Other platforms get defacto support, Wii U picks up selected dregs like Wii did, maybe worse - at least Wii had a good number of exclusives.
What is this Trine 2 game? You guys must have played it? The screens look fecking awesome.
Trine is supposedly pretty good but I've never played either game. I think they started on PC then got ported to consoles.
Still not known, what are the video/audio ports and what are the output options ? HDMI? 5.1 or better ?
Yeah it has HDMI....it has to if its HD.
