But when they made Tomb Raider Legends as a PS2 game, they had no problem throwing that on the then new Xbox 360...so why can't they do the same for Wii U? This, and the lack of any word on RE 6 for the system, do have me slightly concerned for 3rd-party's willingness to put some effort on it.

Sad thing is that no real effort really applies. It's not like having to massively de-scale an engine to get a 360 game running on Wii like the COD games. Or even having to make a ground up version. It's just an additional port like having a PS3 and PC version.

What it really is, is a lack of confidence and a lack of commitment. 3rd party mature games don't sell on Nintendo systems etc.

I posted the Last Story NGamer full preview in the thread with some awesome new screens

"Lazulis is... astonishing. We can think of no other word to do it justice. It's a huge, freely explorable, architecturally exquisite place, bustling with pedestrians, traders and guards; harbouring courtyards that give way to impossibly narrow alleyways that Zael can shimmy down to discover hidden loot. Stroll along the aptly named Windy Alley, meanwhile, and you're liable to find a lost item blowing in the breeze. If you're quick enough with your Seek ability (zoom in to examine stuff), you can pick it up and stuff it into your inventory.

Where Xenoblade achieves grandness via the sheer size of its world map, the relatively linear Last Story achieves it by examining a smaller world in much greater detail. The game positively revels in the intricacies of Lazulis City; while it's nowhere near as large as your average GTA location, it's clear that Mistwalker have spent serious time making it feel alive. After visiting the tiny, static towns of so many JRPGs over the years, that comes as a huge relief."

I'm not 100% but I thought I heard that Nintendo confirmed the Last Story would come to the US sometime after Xenoblade.

Yay! I'm really liking what I'm hearing from Nintendo on the Wii U and their online model. No more friend codes, dlc, better online services, etc. Now just come out with some kind of achievement/trophy system and we'll be all set.

Eurogamer review the 3DS circle pad

Looks Only a Mother Could Love

There's no easy way of putting this; the 3DS Circle Pad Pro is hideous. When strapped to the console itself it looks almost laughable and far more nightmarish than any cheap Wii Remote accessory you could mention. Any notions of aesthetic symmetry are dashed completely, with the right-hand side of the device ballooning out awkwardly from the main body of the 3DS. Unless you own a black console, you'll also have to endure mismatched casing hues, as the Circle Pad Pro only comes in that colour.

Ergonomics and Control

Once the 3DS is in place and there's a compatible piece of software slotted snugly in the card slot, the initial feeling of repulsion towards the Circle Pad Pro slowly recedes. Games such as Resident Evil: Revelations are enriched almost beyond measure, and the increased bulk ironically solves one of the 3DS' biggest problems: its unwelcome habit of inducing hand cramp in anyone with paws larger than a small child's. It may come at the unfortunate expense of the machine's overall portability, but the Circle Pad Pro's ergonomically-shaped rear delivers an almost perfect gaming grip.

I cant believe how much they are promoting Star Wars Episode 1. I would be so embarrased of that movie that I would release this one to die, just put it out cause you have to.

Plus my girlfriend took me out to dinner and had 5 hot babes singing happy birthday to me, then gave me an awesome Cased Vinyl version of Pantera's debut album, Cowboys From Hell.
