My god Deus Ex is so freaking amazing. HR has a lot to live up to. It better have branching storylines.
The original Deus Ex? Is this your 1st time playing it?
I had played it on the PS2 back when it 1st came out and couldn't get into it at first....then a few months later went back to it and had one of those "Whoa....why didn't I realise how badass this was?" moments. Its definitely a classic. The new one looks amazing though...really looking forward to it. That comes out in like a month too....wtf man...another game I need to get.
Playing more Metroid Other M....this game is awesome. Its old school side scroller badass shit for the modern era, again, just like Shadow Complex. I truly do not understand what people have against this game....its great! Its the old school Metroid we've been waiting for since the N64. As much as I love the Prime games...I gotta say its nice being able to see Samus's full character and not just stairing at her gun constantly. Not to mention she is such a cool looking iconic character anyway. I see what Iga was saying about the graphics too....they do appear very similar to Metroid art and give the game a very comic book like style to it, brought to life.
I recommend this wholeheartedly to anyone who hasn't played it yet....its Metroid. Its atmospheric. Great boss fights, and some really tough areas to figure out.
I played it on the PS2 many years ago. I have not played it sense. I have always considered it one of the greatest FPS games, though it shouldnt be considered FPS.
As for Other M, yeah its a great game but not as good as most Metroid games, and that is probably why it feels it gets a lot of negativity.
Capcom: Hey everyone, help us make this game -- especially all you fans of Mega Man!
Everyone: Okay.
Capcom: Hrmm... your ideas suck. This game is cancelled, go fuck off.
I'm reading Issue 38 of Electronic Gaming Monthly just now (from January 1991). They break down how Sony and Nintendo just split ways over the direction of the "Play Station" project. It's amazing to read a primary document from the time and see history happening that you've always heard from secondary sources.
LOL, exactly. Maybe Capcom wants to get back at Inafune so they are killing off his character.
^I thought Lulz had gone back to school after their Summer break?
Oh shit son
OLD!
Did we miss the "What have you been playing" thing this week? Or just me? Also, Leo, "Hi".
Also, for those of you who never respond to the WHYBP, why don't you post?
Anyway.
This week I beat:
And now I am in a deep gaming drought. Playing Unreal Tournament 3 and theoretically Jade Empire. Also toying around with Lunar games on the DS and GBA, but mostly just dithering until something takes.
No, it is just you.
I have a similar service but the selection is limited and my net connection is spotty.
Great post. So do you keep the shitty games on a separate shelf then the ones you like? How do you guys organise your games? I once tried ABC-ing mine and then after a couple of weeks of taking games out and putting them back in at random it was ruined and too much effort. I like to put the shitty CDs/DVDs/Games in a corner.
Also do you guys have any older games that have rocketed in price or held value over the years? Some people are selling Fire Emblem GC for a $150 on amazon.
You should check out the Metroid Other M thread to see what everybody thought of the game.
Ubisoft President:
In fact, while core players may scowl at games like Just Dance, they secretly should be thanking the casual audience. Guillemot says the overwhelming success of that franchise and other casual lines will allow the company to boost the number of big budget games it plans to make in the near term.
"You will see more high definition games this year and next, thanks to the fact that we've done well with casual games like Just Dance," he says. "To make Just Dance, it's just 1/10th the cost of Assassin's Creed."
They've said this before of course about their casual games financing their HD games. He's saying that you have Ubisofts trashy DS and Wii casual games to thank for your HD blockbusters.

Wow...this dude really doesn't give a fuck in Deus Ex 3...
LMFAO that was the BEST fight scene ever.....I wish fights in real life were just like that.
